At around 4 months old, a kitten's growth rate changes. With rising energy levels, developing immune and digestive systems, growing bones and muscles, and emerging teeth, older kittens have different needs than they did as a baby cat (1-4 months old). Royal Canin Kitten Loaf in Sauce Wet Food delivers the nutritional precision your kitten needs to reach their most magnificent potential.

  • - Loaf in Sauce wet food formulated for the second stage of kittenhood (between 4 months to 1 year); for younger cats, try Royal Canin Mother & Babycat
  • - Made with the optimal ratio of protein, fats, and carbohydrates to meet the nutritional energy needs of a maturing kitten's playful energy
  • - An innovative blend of antioxidants supports a kitten's developing immune system defenses as they continue to grow
  • - Promotes healthy growth and digestion with digestible proteins, fiber, and prebiotics
  • - Tender soft loaf texture is easy for a kitten to eat as they transition to solid foods; a perfect complement to Royal Canin Kitten Dry Kibble

Royal Canin-one of the best

Royal Canin is one of the healthiest, most rigorously tested pet foods. My cats and dogs love it and I feel safe knowing they’re eating a balanced diet.

Full of Junk!

Chicken meal byproduct is the number 1 ingredient. I'm not paying top dollar for a brand that claims to be better for your animal, but they don't even use actual chicken meat. Byproduct is ground up beaks, and gristle, and all the other that stuff that doesn't make into our foods. But because it technically comes from love chickens, that's how they can legally say "made with real chicken". No it's not, you guys are full of it. Not to mention all the grains and fillers in this. I'm so bummed out, because I feel like I wasted money on what was supposed to be high quality food.

Something has gone wrong with this formula

Steve3733

My cats were raised on adult instinctive thin slices in gravy. As kittens, the kitten version. But recently when i open the cans the color is paler, and a heavy pork smell where before it was darker with a pleasant geberal meat smell. They all refuse to eat this. It doesn't seem to matter where I buy it either or what lot # or best before date(typically sometime in 2027). My previous rating would have been a 5 star but now...i would really love to hear what has happened to this formula but don't expect a real answer.

Something's Changed - Not Great

Similar to what others are saying, my cat is no longer eating the Adult Instinctive Thin Slices in Gravy. She's been eating this food for the last 4 years, but something has changed recently. The food is paler in comparison to the previous darker brown colour and she won't eat it anymore.

Is it ok for older cats to eat the canned kitten food? Not every day, but roughly every 3 days? I have had to switch up between the kitten and the digestive slices for my texture-fussy cat due to Royal Canin’s availability issues, which is…annoying.
