Looking for wet cat food that are 12 year cat would not get sick on. This is it. She now eats this almost every day, I do try to add a little variety now and then.

I have 17 year old cats who have such serious health conditions that our vet would have euthanized them in August. I brought them home for Kitty Hospice. They are each eating on can of the Aging+ and thriving. They are not cured of their ailments, but they are eating and maintaining their weights. This very expensive, but so was buying every brand of cat food I could find in order to get them to eat.

Cat seems to like it

My 12 year old, mostly toothless, indoor cat likes this food and will lick the bowl clean. He's very eager for this food where in the past, he's sort of just eaten whenever he feels like getting around to it. It's good to see him excited to eat again, because I was getting worried he might be sick. But maybe he just wasn't too thrilled with the food I was giving him until I switched to this. This food also seems to make far less mess than the tuna types I was giving him before.

Royal Canin adapts to changes in cat's age, health

Canaan

My cat is now 16 yo and I habe been feeding Royal Canin for most of his life. I especially like that Royal Canin acknowledges that a cat's nutritional needs change with age, health status, and other factor. Transitioning to a different Royal Canin has always been easy.

My cat loves the flavor!

We had long used a different quality wet food for our aging Bengal cat. At 14, he started losing interest in his food, both wet and dry, and was losing too much weight. I saw your Aging wet slices and tried it. He loves this food, barely letting me open the can before he tries to start eating. He is already starting to add weight again. This has been a real godsend. I do wish it were more affordable as it is quite expensive.. but my cat is family so..

Formula change?

My cat enjoyed this food a lot but it seems like the formula changed. There used to actually be sauce in the food but now its just normal pate without the saucy stuff. She doesn't really touch it much now which sucks, because it's great to find a food that a finicky old cat enjoys eating.

Are the slices easy to smash up?

    1. yes

If my cat doesn't eat the entire can, does it have to be put in the refridgerator? How long can I leave the food in his bowl?

    1. Yes refrigerate any left overs in the can. Just like human food, cat food should only be left out for 4 hours.

What is the phosphorus content (both As Fed and Dry Matter Basis)?

    1. 0.10% as fed and 0.53% dry matter

How many are in a package?

    1. 24 cans

Royal Canin Feline "12+" food on the Petco site isn't also on the Royal Canin site. Is it a discontinued version?
