Great cat food poor service

Product is fine, cashier was horrible. She was too involved swooning over a snake someone brought into the store that she became unable to properly ring my order and over charged me by $50.I drove back after error was noticed and she made tons of excuses disbelieving that she could double scan a product. Also was insensitive to my fear of snakes and kept laughing and talking to snakes owner vs providing good customer service. My fear made me not have an awareness of her overcharging until another town away and resulting of driving back for a refund. Very disappointing.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Just what the breeder and vet recommended.

This was the breeders choice when we first got Larissa as a kitten. We have continued to use Royal Canin since day one with both our older girl and our young Male. They are both healthy and thriving.

Won’t touch it

I fed my Maine Coon the kitten version of this formula until he turned one. Now that he’s 1, I tried switching him to this. He will NOT touch it. I leave it in his bowl all day and night, and he would rather starve. It’s been days trying to get him to eat this, and I’ve given up. This is the only dry food he has never even wanted to try. I guess we’re trying a different food then.

Best dry Maine Coon chow IMHO

Not only is it super-popular with my Maine Coon, but my big Bombay boy and a Birman that can barely get her teeth around the big kibble pieces love it, too! :)

Questions

Is this Maine Coon-specific food ever going to be offered in the 14lb bags again, it doesn't make sense to buy food for a multiple Maine Coon family in 6lb bags.

  1. I have not seen a 14lb bag in years, and that is the only food that my cats eat, so I do not really have an option.

Our Maine Coon seems to prefer the Royal Canin Maine Coon large kibble but I wonder why you don't have a grain free version. It's my understanding that grains are very unhealthy and unnatural for cats and they only eat meat in the wild.

  1. Thanks for reaching out! For ingredient questions please reach out to our Consumer Care team at 800-592-6687

Will a Maine Coon mixed breed benefit from this food?

  1. My Maine Coons prefer this kibble over smaller kibble. For a while I couldn't figure out why my 4 domestic shorthair cats weren't eating. Turns out they were eating the larger Maine Coon kibble. I tried mixing some royal canin with their dry food, but they pick out the larger kibble and leave the rest behind. I suppose the benefit is that they have something they like and it is probably better for their teeth.

Does this food contain any fish or fish oils? My cat is apparently allergic to fish but I just bought this and he loves it. I'm hoping we won't have to throw it out.

  1. The diet does contain fish oil sourced from anchovy oil
