I bought this because the vet told me to. My toy Maltipoo likes it, however, now her eyes are draining excessively and she has tear stains. She NEVER had this issue before. We will be switching brands. There are too many gross fillers in this and the first ingredient is rice!

Or something that’s made specifically for Maltese dogs, my dog walked away from it. Maybe it’s because you put corn and byproducts in it and I was surprised to see that byproduct is a third ingredient. And the protein wasn’t who are you guys paying off to say you’re the best dog food for Maltese dogs

We recently switched to RC on hopes to finding the perfect food for our dogs. They love it!! My only concern is since switching their tear ducts drain A LOT more. Is there something in the food causing this?

Not for my girls

Surprised the dry kibble pieces were large compared to other brans for small/mini dogs. I hoped my two female Maltese, 3 years and the other 9 months, would love this since it , I thought, was highly rated (must have been the canned RC food). I weaned them from their former food but this kibble did not agree with my 3 year old who has a sensitive stomach. I was surprised when I read the ingredients to find it contained corn. I threw away 1/3 of the bag and am trying the Royal Canin Shih Tzu kibble since it does not contain corn. The pieces are also smaller. So far, both girls are enjoying the change. I am surprised, though, that RC puts corn in any of its dog food.

My very picky Havanese rescue will eat this above all other foods! Being very tiny at 5 lbs., we can't afford to have him lose weight. Thank you Royal Canin.

Why is the Royal Canaan dog Maltese Is the royal Canin Maltese dog food unavailable? Royal Canin is all my Maltese will help?

Does anyone have any idea when Royal Canin will be producing the Maltese dry food again. It has not been available for a few months and I am about out. Also, has anyone had to substitute and use a different breed (e.g., Yorkshire Terrier)? Recommendations

    1. I have been out. My Maltese and bichon love the Maltese one.  I bought the Yorkie one and they are eating that just fine for now.
