On Day 3 and Day 4, mix 50% of the old diet with 50% of the new diet. On Day 5 and Day 6, mix 25% of the old diet with 75% of the new diet. On the 7th day, you can feed the new food exclusively. This allows your pet's digestive system to smoothly adapt to the new food.

Questions
I have a 67 pound standard poodle. The website recommends German Shepard large breed instead of the poodle dog food. Is this correct
- While our breed specific diets are nutritionally formulated to support the breed for which it indicates, for breeds for which we do not manufacture a breed specific formula, we recommend a diet based on size and age. In your case we would suggest our Large Adult dry dog food. It is precise nutrition specifically made for large dogs 15 months to 5 years old weighing 56–100 lbs.

Could we start the German Shepherd adult dog food earlier than 15 months? Our boy is 13 months and we’re getting ready to run out of his puppy food. We want to transition him to adult food without having to buy another bag of his puppy food.
- Yes, in fact during the pandemic I had to switch to the royal canine puppy food for my shepherds due to supply issues. They had no issues at all. So, I think you’re on the right track to start the transition to the adult food now.

Why is royal canin for cocker spaniel no longer available.
My German Shepherd puppy is now 15 months & healthy. She loves the RC German Shepherd puppy food. I am reluctant to switch to adult just yet. Can I continue feeding her the puppy food a few more months OR, should I switch her to adult food immediately?
- According to the Royal Canin web site: Royal Canin German Shepherd Puppy dry dog food is designed to meet the nutritional needs of purebred German Shepherds 8 weeks to 15 months old. That should answer your question

I have a mixed breed German shephard/ Australian shepherd. Is the German shepherd breed food suitable?
- I do as well and it was the only food that didn’t upset his stomach when he we first got him. So yes it will work for a mix as well, great food!

Is this a no more tears shampoo?
- Thank you for your question. The Angels' Eyes Shampoo is not a tearless shampoo. The shampoos we offer that are tearless, will state this in the product description.

Is Royal Canin good for a pregnant 2 year old GSD? Shes been eating it for about three months now and all her itching and finicky eating have stopped.
- The German Shepherd Adult is not advised for growth or pregnant females

Can Royal Canin/German Shepherd dry food be kept in the Freezer?
- Thank you for your question. The manufacturer does not recommend freezing this food. The freezer will impact the antioxidants in the food and defrosting may cause molding. There is also a concern with the palatability of the food after freezing for your pet.

I have a 5 yr old German Sherpherd who has had hip dysplasia since approx 6mo's she is doing much worse.
- My sheperd is 10 1/2. Been on Dasaquin for about 2 years. Only food I will feed her is Royal Canin for sheperds. With both items, she runs & plays like a puppy. W/O she is stiff & can barely climb stairs into house. Have also cut back on portions with age. She did start to gain weight. Now I have a new dog hopefully for several more years!
