Lafeber's Lovebird Food
I have a 22 year old Timneh African Grey parrot. I have used Harrison's pellets medium size in the past. It has been discontinued. My parrot won't eat the fine size and drops the large size into water. I need suggestions of what else to use.
My bird has switched to Lafeber’s Daily Diet pellet food. She gained too much weight with the other food she was on. I noticed she is eating it, but it’s turning into something similar to sawdust. She does seem to eat the dust though. I don’t know to give her more or not. I’m giving her 30cc of it a day. I don’t want her to get malnutritioned, but I don’t want her to gain weight. She needs to lose weight. What should I do? Should I have her eat the dust that’s left, or give her more pellets?
How do I know if my bird is eating enough
I have a pet lovebird named peaches, i am feeding her dehydrated fruits and vegetables and tropican lifetime granules for cockitels, it is also for lovebirds, it has 8% of calcium, i am not giving her a lot of calcium because it can kill her, no fortified seeds, cuttle fish bone and clay cal, i do not feed her calcium every day, i just give it to her before and after she lays and egg, what is the right amount of calcium for pet love birds?
We're wondering if there's anything we can do to improve her diet. Right now she is eating pellets (Zupreem, converting to Zupreem naturals), seeds, and we offer veggies every day despite her never really finishing them. We're now grinding up a Tums onto the food every day, as she was egg bound recently. We get 30-60 mins of time outside a day when possible, for sunlight. Any suggestions, or does this look fine? Thanks.
Is there a good high calorie supplement, vitamin or food that I can offer my seed junkie parakeet? She scored a poor body condition, was described as thin at her exam. Currently taking Metacam for an ouchy foot.
For 7 yrs ate approx 1-2 cup dry food a day, kept bowl full and he ate when hungry. This summer he was barely eating. Diagnosed with Cushing and possible bile duct clog. Changed to 19 nuggets raw food a day 2 months ago. He acted hungry all the time and lost 2.5 lbs approx, so increased to 30 nuggets. Developed diarrhea 3 days ago. Reintroduced dry food 1/2+ cup a day in addition to other food. He is eating all of it. Whimpered all night last night. Have a 1/4 of an ibuprofen.
My cockatiel TAKA is sick now. He reduces weight from 85g to 65g within several months. He is now sleepy, fluffy feathers, less active, less vocal, seems weak. But he is still eating normally and regularly. Since there is no avian vet or any vet for birds here in my country, please help me. I started amoxicillin 2 days ago. (10mg per oral, b.d). Any further management suggested? I feed him Roudybush daily maintenance everyday. But he likes rice, corn when he see we are eating.
My birds poo has been this color for the past 3 or 4 days? He has been eating Zupreem Fruit Pellets.
Best inexpensive boxer dry dog food
In the past 4 hours my 7yo German Shepherd has pooped 4 times and it's diarrhea. His food is Alpo but I think we need to change it. What food should I feed him? I want a small bag so we can see how it does for him.
I have a Quaker parrot who is at least 24 years old. I have had him that long but was a rescue so not sure of exact age. I am looking for suggestions on a better senior food for him.
