It’s our puppy getting older (turning 9 years old). We’ve been on the hunt for the best supplements to help with his heart, joints and quality of life. We tried this brand and our puppy takes it very easily and it seems to help. I highly recommend it if your dog is getting older and you are trying to keep him in good health.

I have to admit I wasn't sure my dog was going to take this pills. I don't feel like they are something that I could convince him to eat like a treat, but I can put them in with his food and he eats them with no problems. They have no distinct odor. Of course my boys already a genius but I am hoping these keep him sharp.

RootedOwl Healthy but Bland

I used the Cardio Support L-Carnitine & L-Taurine Natural Supplement capsules for a healthy heart with my four rescue dogs across a seven consecutive day trial period. All four rescue dogs were interested in the smell of the capsule, and they would chomp it in their mouth, but then for whatever reason, all four rescue dogs would spit the capsule out. That surprised me as my rescues are all foodaholics and eat almost anything. I wonder if the capsule tasted bland. When I put the capsule into a spoonful of liver sausage, all four rescue dogs sucked up the Cardio Support capsule. I really wanted my rescue dogs to like these capsules since L-Carnitine and L-Taurine are both really healthy ingredients for dogs with strong health benefits. So, I tried giving the capsules to them over the course of seven consecutive days. All four rescue dogs reacted the same every single time that I tried to give them the capsule. They would get it into their mouths, chomp on it, and then spit it out. I like that the capsule is bright white and very clean looking. The capsule is very squishy so it would easily go down a dog's throat without causing them to choke or gag. For whatever reason, the only way that I could get them to swallow the capsule was to hide it in liver sausage or a piece of cheese. May I make a suggestion for you to add a beef broth to the capsule or a chicken broth to the capsule to give it a taste that would make them want to swallow the capsule.

I've been givings these to my dog for a little while and I have noticed that he has more enery and seems more peppy he always loves the water but he's had more stamina. I have not had any issues with giving these to my dog which is also a plus.

Great for cardio health and easy to digest

I gave my dog 3 capsules with food over the course of 20 days because of his size/weight and I didn’t notice a huge difference in that short amount of time because he has a decent amount of energy and loves his daily walks as is, however my rating is given because I like the benefits these capsules give to nurture the heart and promote longevity in your dog especially older ones and certain breeds. I love this brand and I can see myself using this in the future as a regular customer! My dog had no issue digesting these capsules which is a huge plus!

I received this as a sample and my dog is sometimes picky about pills. They smelled a little funky and once I touched them no matter what I hid them in she could find them and pick them out, no matter what. As long as I handled them, which I had to, she could find them. I'm sure there is nothing wrong with them and it's just my dog being her.

So far it’s manageable enough for my dog to swallow with ease. It’s hard to tell if it’s doing what it says because I haven’t seen any change so far, but her energy seems to be consistent since she started taking it. I’m also happy with the clean ingredients used in the Rooted Owl product.

This product is good for dogs with heart issues. Its a little hard to tell right now if it works well but the ingredients are pretty wholesome. The pills are pretty big so i suggest emptying the capsules into wet food or find a really find a good treat to hind them in.
