When I first received this litter box I had the same impression as others: too small. However I put it out there anyway and to my surprise I found some of my cats preferred it to the other boxes. I have nine cats. The litter scatter appears to be less. The soft plastic, which I did not expect to do well, has the advantage of making it easier to clean making it easier tip and shake it. I decided to add this comment because I’m ordering a second one today to replace the one in the bathroom which my cats tend to jump over the sides to get out. Additionally, the small foot print holds the same litter at a higher level so the lumps tend to not adhere to the bottom and there appears to be less desire to scratch the sides of the box.

Too small for multiple cat house.ok for single cat. I do like high sides for male cats missing the lower sided boxes

Beware - The size is smaller and half the height than listed in the description. It is 12 inches high, not 23 inches. 15.5 inches wide at the very widest point and about 20 inches in length. An inch makes a big difference for a large cat....
