I strongly discourage anyone purchasing from petco.com unless the item is directly sold by Petco or unless you're willing to accept the order as is and not returning it under any circumstance. This package was delivered to my house with a hole in the box, causing a dent on the wood of one of the gate panels. I called and chatted with support on this and because it's actually sold from a 3rd party vendor, there's not a lot the Petco team has been able to do for me. It's been 3 weeks and the package is still sitting in my house, despite providing pictures of the damaged box and product. I've requested a return and refund and have not been provided a return label or a refund yet. It's been a beyond frustrating experience.

The expandability of the crate is a great idea, but the way the sliding door is set up is a danger for puppies with large(r) paws. When shut, the sliding door leaves a large gap at the top and bottom. The gap at the bottom is angled, and our 14-week Aussie has twice gotten her paw stuck in that gap. This crate would be fine for smaller paw puppies or dogs, but the design is inherently dangerous for larger pups or dogs.

It’s so nice to have an expandable pet crate for my chihuahua. She has a lot of space for bed and for potty pad. It works great to potty train her. I’m a big fan of Ritchl. They make great products for small dogs.
