Ordered this gate to keep my dogs from freely going into another room. The gate is extremely heavy and the wood is pretty, but that is it. The gate is not very stable when free standing, but the worst is that the pieces do not stay together. The door is pathetic. The latch is minimal and flimsy. I tried everything to keep the pieces of this this gate from falling apart, which I should not have to do. I tried wood glue and ugly cable ties to just keep the pieces together. As long as I didn’t move the gate, that helped, but I often need to move the gate and the pieces look offset and hen come apart. For $400, I expected so much more!

Would have been nice but it was broken in several places. Still waiting for a replacement from the company....

This is exactly what I needed. It was easy to set up and works like a charm.

Seems very sturdy. We have bought a second one for a similarly sized large entryway after checking out the first one. Dog is only a puppy but seems like itt should be sturdy for when she’s an adult (golden retriever)

Very nice gate. Feels sturdy and looks high end. I like that it is 36 in tall and it is wide. I also like the door but I wish the door was a little wider since my husband is a larger man and he has to turn sideways to get through it. I plan to buy more. I have a 100 pound Doberman who must be restricted to certain areas in the house to keep himself out of trouble. I think that he could easily knock this over if he wanted but he is the type of dog that would not intentionally do that. He may jump on the gate but he will not try to knock it over.

I have looked through many extra long gates trying to find one to fit the wide entrance from my foyer to my living room. This one does fit however when my dogs get excited they paw at it which ends up setting it at an angle with their force (they’re small Scottish Terriers). If for any reason this gate is not standing in a straight line, the pieces securing the gate closed no longer line up and the gate ends up creeping open. My dogs have learned that and have worked that to their advantage. The only fix is for me to add a hook and eye closure that they cannot open.

This gate is made of real wood with an attractive stain. It has feet so that I don't have to worry about my dogs pushing it over. I highly recommend this gate.
