For the prevention of heartworm disease, Revolution must be applied monthly, preferably on the same date each month. Drs. Foster and Smith recommends (and our guarantee requires) that Revolution be used year round, although some veterinarians may recommend using it only during the mosquito season. If used seasonally, the first dose must be applied within 30 days of the pet's first exposure to mosquitoes. The last dose must be applied within 30 days after the pet's last exposure to mosquitoes. To control fleas, apply the first dose one month prior to the expected start of the flea season. Part the hair on the back of the pet at the base of the neck in front of the shoulder blades. Place the tip of the tube on the skin and squeeze the tube 3-4 times to empty the entire contents on the skin. Do not massage into skin or apply to broken skin. Do not apply when the haircoat is wet.

Adopted 2 cats from county animal shelter last Dec. They'd been seized from hoarder by county. They recently started scratching as if they have fleas, but I can't find any fleas or flea dirt (white cats). Vet prescribed Revolution (selamectin), once monthly, to control fleas, ear mites, intestinal hookworm & roundworm, and heartworm disease (Dirofilaria immitis). I asked for ::::safest effective:::: med (for cats) for these issues, with least potential adverse side effects. Is that what I got???
I cannot find my dogโs regular flea/tick meds (topical Revolution 20.1-40.1lbs) b/c itโs on back order even with my vet. Iโm panicking b/c idk what to give my dog that is equivalent to that flea/tick med. She hasnโt missed a single dose since she was 8 weeks old. Iโm worried she wonโt get the protection that she needs. Is there something similar to Revolution that I can give her that protects against mites, fleas, ticks, round, hook and heartworms???
I use Revolution on my cat monthly. The vet used to give me Revolution Blue...but this time I was given Revolution Purple. What is the difference between the two??
My cat gets frontline plus once a month consistently all year long. No fleas all year till this past friday. This weekend I have remover with flea comb a few live small fleas and flea dirt. His last frontline was sat 9/28/19. Is it safe and beneficial if I start him now ( 10/7/19) on REVOLUTION? We live in nj and he is about 22 pounds. He is an inside outside cat. Also, if results on revolution are the same, can he then be put back into frontline. I'm scared of these chemicals.
Is Revolution necessary for my indoor cat? Or can I use a flea and tick treatment such as Advantage?
What is the best monthly flea and parasite topical prevention medication?
My cat (17) is really troubled by fleas. She gets Revolution once/month. I believe it helps but even after 3 weeks sheโs scratching furiously and sometimes meowing in dismay. Better medication? Treatment for environment?? Thank you.
What is recommended for 3 month kitten for fleas and for adult dogs?
My bun has had mange for a long while now. It is recurring. I found lesions on 4 nails only. I check her regularly and know what to look out for. It has been confirmed that it is mange. The vet gave her the kitten dose 60mg/ml at 0.250. I weighed her today and she is 2.77 kg. The vet isn't a rabbit savvy one so want to know what the right dose is and how frequently would I have to give her revolution. Her lesions have dried out nicely from the topical but need to adjust the Revo dose. Plz help
My 2 cats have been on Revolution for years. Recently I've seen fleas on them and they scratch. Can I give a Capstar tablet to them along with their monthly Revolution? My one cat gets Phenobarbital for seizures. Would you suggest some other combination of flea prevention?
It is time for me to get heart worm meds and flea control. My senior dog came with some product to take me to August, 2018. I am looking at Revolution for a 12 lb senior poodle. Would this be appropriate for her? She is indoors except for an early morning and after dark walk. Does she need heart worm meds continued at this age?
Cat has ear mites. Iโm waiting for first dose of Revolution to kick in (applied 2 weeks ago). I have been cleaning his ears pretty well with Zymox and cotton balls but Iโm sure thereโs still mites left in his ears where I canโt get to. I hate to see him suffer with such itchy ears. Is there an over the counter treatment I can pick up somewhere?
