Nice gate, but Not 74.5. Closter to 72 fully extended. Would be ideal in a 6' threshold because you could angle it for further stability.

Tte latch system makes this unusable. If petco wont take it back, I will literally put it in the garbage.

I would not recommend buying this gate. Low quality. Next time I'll listen to other reviewers warning.

I'm very disappointed with this gate. There are some good things about it, like ease of set up and all steel construction, but, unfortunately the latch system is not worth the price. The description says "one handed operation." Yeah, you can do it one handed, but you literally have to bend down to the floor to twist the little tabs that are difficult to turn (if you have long nails you can forget about it) *then* you can slide the latch to open it. And if you leave the tabs at the bottom turned up, it renders the gate unsafe because the gate is wobbly and can open about 4 inches at the bottom just by pushing on it a little bit. I've noticed that pretty much all the positive reviews were from a promotion... I think there must be a "don't bite the hand that feeds you" mentality there because I paid full price for this gate and I don't feel that I got my money's worth.

Poor design - not easy to expand to fit opening - latch difficult to use - small dog escaped through fence.

I ordered this particular gate extra wide so my Belgian Malinois couldn't push out the bottom and get out. I solved that issue, however she's learned to lift this gate up even locked and get it open. The quality of the door is great. Went together very easy. I like this type of lock since pushing straight out you can't get it open if there's even with a small gap. I admit it took us a couple of weeks to figure out how she was getting out and we finally caught her in the act.
