We bought 2 medium harnesses for our beagles, who were around 20 lbs at the time, now 27 lbs, and they have worked out very well. They fit better now than at first, as they've filled out , but have really done the job. The have all steel hardware, including the fastening buckle and leash loops, and strong stitching, which is needed for our 'pullers'. We've had only one 'escape' (I think he backed out of it somehow), and that was soon after we got them, when the dogs were smaller, but none since. Sometimes I do have to tighten the straps a bit, but like I said, our dogs are 'pullers', and am very satisfied.

If your dog is a chewer, please don't buy this. Not only has my puppy easily chewed the harness edge straps, the way it sits on his chest(appropriately positioned) he has even chewed the logo on front. When he shakes, the straps easily slide. While it is very pretty, it's just not work the $40 to last a week and a half.

Used this harness on my Frenchie. He is about 27 lbs and a medium fit him perfect. This harness is well made. The straps are well stitched, and the front harness is well padded. The front padded harness sits at a perfect spot. Not too high and not too low so my dog wasn’t choking or wasn’t able to slip out of it. Favorite part about the harness is that the clip is made of metal! Most harnesses are made of plastic and tend to break. My frenchie is a little stocky and I did notice that the straps rub under his front legs. I loosened it a bit and it seemed to fix the issue. We’ll see with long term use if it rubs too much and causes any friction to his skin. But I will say the straps are very well made and don’t seem like they will bust any time soon.

I received the step in harness for my chihuahua mix. I prefer the harness over collars so it doesn’t pull on her neck. The first thing I noticed when I unboxed it was the quality of the material. It is very well made and looks lovely. A great buy!
