I was so glad to find out that there is a larger X shaped opening on the other side of these balls. This allowed me to place small kibble/treats or even a dental chew in the opening. My little beagle loves this ball because it's small and easy to push around and get the kibble out. It really helps stimulate her senses and brain. They haven't gotten too dirty either. Usually toys like these will pick up hair and fur from the floor, but so far so good! When I do need to wash these, I toss them on the top rack of the dishwasher so the inside gets more sanitized.

I have a dog in my life that is just obsessed with playing fetch. These balls work well as they are stiff but not hard, can be thrown by hand or using toy thrower and are bright to easy to find. Andy could play with these for hours and hours.

Nice, sturdy ball that was a little too firm for my senior dogs, but it is a good weight and I can see it having a long life for younger, stronger dogs. I love that there's a space to fit a treat to keep dogs interested in the ball, especially for the pickier dogs.
