I received these products for free from the Spotted by Petco sampling program in exchange for my honest review. Like most toys that my dog gets, the newest one is his favorite. So when I gave him this red ball, he took it and immediately started to play with it. For him, playing means chewing, so I was interested to see how this ball held up to hard chewing. Unfortunately, it did not hold up well. Within a half an hour, my dog had already chewed off five of the six knobs on the toy. So I do not recommend this toy to dogs that are known chewers. If your dog is not a chewer, the ball bounces oddly and could be entertaining to that type of dog.

Caution, this is a soft foam toy. Not recommended for large dogs or aggressive chewers. This toy was a hit with my cats and a french bulldog. The cats rolled it around and gnawed on it. The frenchy enjoyed the bounciness of the toy.

While my German shepherd loved this toy, it’s a bit too small for him. Also he ripped it apart in like a day. It may be suited for smaller dogs that are not aggressive chewers. I would be worried that he would swallow this but I let him play with it under supervision until he started tearing it up.

This is a fun unpredictable ball for those high energy ball obsessed dogs. My brother’s puppy loved it and it kept him entertained for hours. The teething puppy didn’t even destroy it (beyond a couple puncture marks) when he gave it his all to chew on it (& that puppy has destroyed a lot of tough chewer balls!).
