Not true to size.
Size was for large dogs, this harness is more suited for Chihuahua type dogs.

My friend & me love these harnesses!!
I love this harness & my dog looks awesome wearing it. My GSD loves this harness my dog is harness trained so she walks in it very maturely. The metal hook for leash attachment is very sturdy. I am very happy with my purchase. A friend at the dog park had one on his dog & recommend I buy one too. I bought my GSD a blue XL/XXL. I love this product!

Runs very small
Not thrilled with this harness because it runs small. My German Shepherd is only 58.8 pounds and after extending every strap to its fullest length, it was still squeezing the life out of her. According to the size guide, it should fit her with no problems.

The leather will tear on the D ring.
If you have a large dog, the leather piece that holds the D ring will probably tear. I returned the first harness because of the tear. Now, I'm on the second harness and the same thing happened. Reddy is a Petco produced product and there is NO warranty on Reddy products. So, if you're out of the return window period, you're out of luck!!! Customer service only provided $10 reward for a replacement, after arguing for 30 minutes!

Great for my energetic beagle!
This is my second purchase of this harness. I absolutely love it for our beagle rescue! So sturdy, it holds up to her pulling on walks (gotta follow that nose!) and I've had trouble finding other brands that use metal clasps which I feel much safer with over plastic. The materials have held up well, we take it off at night for her, but she recently rolled in something...gross...outside and I can't seem to get it all out of the one seam/strap section so I decided to replace it instead. After about 8 months of daily wear and aggressive walks, there is some cosmetic fraying of the suede material at the edges of the harness, but it's still very sturdy. If she hadn't rolled around in whatever she found in the grass, this harness could easily have lasted a year or more. The handle on the back is also great for helping her in and out of our truck since she's a smaller beagle. (About 23 lbs., wears size medium harness comfortably.)

will this work as a no-pull harness?
- Hi Tile Guy, Good day! Yes, to function as a “no-pull” harness, just clip the lead to the D-ring on the chest front panel. When the dog pulls to the end of the lead, it will help to turn the dog toward you. Thanks

The girth of this harness does not go big enough for my dog, but if I size up, the neck does not adjust small enough. Is there any way I can tweak this? I LOVE these harnesses and have them for all of my dogs.

How about a girth measurement for this size? Unfortunately, I bought this harness but can't remember what size and its getting tight. Nearest store doesn't have the largest size to try it. I really like this harness but I do feel it runs small.
- Hi. My lab, Abigail, is about 70lbs and needed an XL. I originally bought the Large, but it was way too small. I'm sorry I don't know the measurements, but this is the best harness ever! We love it! We've had it about a year with heavy use and it's still looks great! I just bought a spare just in case, because I can't believe it's in such great shape. My girl is rough and takes 3 walks/hikes a day and this harness goes through it all. Good luck, but order it a bit larger than you think.
