13/45 worms

Redondo

This says it's 45 to 55 worms. I was taking them out one by one and found 13. It's probably about 13 because maybe I missed one or two, I am certain there is not 45 worms in here. I'm wondering if people or employees are stealing them. At the store I go to they were 9.99 so I basically paid about a dollar a worm. I feel ripped off because 45 worms for 10 dollars was already a high cost. I might as well dig in my back yard.

No, I do not recommend this product.

are nightcrawlers better for axolotls

  1. Hi AmphibianLover777, Good day! Yes, they are great for axolotls.. Thanks

I would like to know why I’m being charged 10.00 for shipping and the worms were supposed to be here today. Now I get a notice because of some wrong information (not on my part) the delivery is delayed 2 days. Probably not refrigerated. Not worth it

Are they alive in the container?

Can I put these in my garden plants/bonsai trees?

      1. Yes you may,  the worms are red wigglers and very beneficial to soil

Is this worm the same as Aporrectodea caliginosa ?

How long does it take to arrive once you've ordered?

i want a pound of worms how many are there i want about 1000

          1. It's about 1 pound for 1,000 worms.

I'm seeking worms for my compost pile. Are these worms suitable ? If not what should I be looking for?

          1. Eisenia fetida = red wiggler

Were the worms bigger than you expected or smaller? I want to buy some for my axolotl, but I don't want to buy them if they're too big (which is why im buying these instead of nightcrawlers). If you had to guess, how many inches long were they?

          1. They are fine for my 4.5" axolotl, providing they are cut into thirds. Otherwise, they are still a little big.

So, is the supplier currently shipping actual red wrigglers (Eisenia fetida)?

          1. The so called "red wiggler" worms are NOT what PetCo sells. They call them red wigglers due to their striping however they are NOT eisenia foetida. They are kept in their refrigerator in a blue container and actually are a worm From Great Britain, a common field worm. They do live in similar composting set ups, but are not what most use for composting. I've been raising them for 2 years so this info is from a herd manager or Oligochaetaologist. Beware they are not the red wiggler used for composting.
