The Red Minor Serpae Tetra is a hardy tetra that is generally peaceful, however they are known to nip at the fins of slower moving fish, especially with long flowing fins. This South American native will display its colors best with a dark substrate. The Red Minor tetra is an active swimmer, so leave space for swimming when decorating your tank. This tetra will also appreciate caves and other hiding places to explore.

I noticed 2-3 of my neon tetras have very few tiny spots on the top of their body and or tail, that are a white color. I noticed it tonight and wanted to know if anything is wrong with them. Their behavior hasn’t changed at all from how they act since I’ve gotten them a week or two ago. Should I be worried?

We recently bought a Betta from a chain store pet shop. He is currently in a 10 gallon tank with a heater. He’s been eating and swimming around, acting fine. The first day we had him I noticed this bump. (Didn’t notice in the petstore but hard to see in those cups they keep them in) Here’s a side shot. Looks like one tiny fluid filled bump, size of a scale. Any ideas?

Last Monday, I got 3 bleeding heart tetras. All seemed well. When I checked on the fish last evening, I noticed 1 of the bleeding heart tetras was missing her tail. I know she does not have fin rot, as her other fins look healthy. It didn't look infected, so I decided to let it heal on its own. When I woke up, she was floating on her back, I flipped her around and she was fine. Now the other 2 are fin nipping her and ganging up on her. I moved her to a small glass bowl, what now?
