Bettas are known for their jewel-bright colors and flowing fins that come in a wide variety of morphs. Uniquely, bettas can breathe from their labyrinth organ which enables the fish to breathe from the surface. These beautiful fish are easy to care for and may live for several years.

ACCLIMATION: Allow the sealed bag with your new fish to float in your aquarium for at least 15 minutes (but no longer than one hour) to ensure the water in the bag matches the temperature in your aquarium. For new aquariums, adding new fish slowly helps to properly develop the nitrogen cycle, which creates a safe environment for your aquatic pets. A bacteria booster may also help develop a new aquarium for your new fish. Petco offers free water testing in store to determine if your water is safe. DIET: A well-balanced diet consists of a variety of flakes, pellets, freeze-dried, and frozen food, depending on the species. FEEDING: Feed sparingly and no more than fish can eat in 1-2 minutes. Overfeeding can quickly foul the water, especially in smaller, unfiltered aquariums.
If we need to contact you for any reason about your order, shipping of your package may be affected. Once your order is placed, you will receive a confirmation email with your order summary. Orders are subject to verification of payment information by phone or email. We ship for arrival to the customer Tuesday through Friday and Saturday for an extra charge where available.

My male Betta fish isn’t moving
My betta is a baby boy (4monthold) When I first got him he was red with white. 2 months ago his growing fins began becoming blue. Abt 3 weeks ago I see that he began losing his color a bit& began becoming kind of transparent, so I took the water to get checked& the water was good but the store couldnt check for ammonia cause they had ran out of that test(water has conditioner). Last night I notice that he started getting a shiny silver color on 1side of mouth& in gill. But he is acting normal
My male Crowntail Betta fish is acting very lethargic, he stays at the bottom of the tank and only coming up for air, barely eats, his stomach looks hollow, and the scales along his back are raised. He has been this way for a few weeks but isn't getting better. I change his water weekly, and he lives in an environment where his is not caused stress.
He's a full grown betta fish, I've had him for a little over half a year, adopted him from a friend. He has a filter and a heater in his tank & I try to stick with recommended products. As of the last couple months, his fins are curling up in the back and he will only eat one pellet every other day or so. I had been feeding him three pellets twice daily. Last week I started cleaning his 1 gallon tank twice a week instead of once a week, and am considering upgrading to a 2.5 gallon tank instead.
My male betta seems to be ill and I can’t find an aquatic vet. I think he has tail rot, but I’m not sure what else.
What type of fish can I keep with my adult male betta fish, he is in a 3 gallon tank.
Betta fish is spending all day at the bottom corner of his tank and barely eating. He moves quickly when he does swim and his appearance seems fine
Why does my Betta fish have lines on his gills?
My new betta is coming up with silvery spots behind gill slits and underneath mouth. His water also seems to get clear algae growth rather quickly (3days) on the surface. I would love to be able to send pictures. My first betta
Can I put another type of fish with my male betta?
My male betta fish had been sitting at the bottom of my tank barely moving and breathing heavily. He won’t even come up for more air or for food. He has been doing this for the past 3 days. Help!
My betta fish is turning white!please help!!
