ACCLIMATION: Allow the sealed bag with your new fish to float in your aquarium for at least 15 minutes (but no longer than one hour) to ensure the water in the bag matches the temperature in your aquarium. For new aquariums, adding new fish slowly helps to properly develop the nitrogen cycle, which creates a safe environment for your aquatic pets. A bacteria booster may also help develop a new aquarium for your new fish. Petco offers free water testing in store to determine if your water is safe. DIET: A well-balanced diet consists of a variety of flakes, pellets, freeze-dried, and frozen food, depending on the species. FEEDING: Feed sparingly and no more than fish can eat in 1-2 minutes. Overfeeding can quickly foul the water, especially in smaller, unfiltered aquariums.
If we need to contact you for any reason about your order, shipping of your package may be affected. Once your order is placed, you will receive a confirmation email with your order summary. Orders are subject to verification of payment information by phone or email.

My betta has red tips on his tail and my cat fish Cory has red spots as well
I asked this question a few days ago, but how long does it take a female betta to reach full size? I believe she's a Veiltail, and I got her when she was a baby, though I don't know how old she was when I got her. She's in a 1/2 gallon tank, I change the water weekly, and I feed her 5-6 Hikari Micro Pellets every other day. She's typically very energetic and constantly moving, so she seems healthy... I just want to make sure nothing's wrong with her!
So this is my first time owning a baby betta fish (2 females) . The lady that helped me said they would be fine together. I have a white one and a red one. The tank is a perfect size I just have one problem. My red one keeps hiding and I almost never see her. My white one is doing fine! I’m just so scared for my red one I don’t know what to do. I’ve seen them interact but it’s like they are fine...please help.
My female betta has dropsy what can I get her
Hi! I was wondering if my female Betta fish is pregnant?
I bought a female betta fish and i put it with my other 6 fish in my 3.5 gallon tank and it has unusual behaviors, it's staying my the bottom and it's barely swimming and eating. I put the fish in the container it came in with some water and food and the food is still there. Also, some of my other female betta are always by the filter so i don't know if that's usual for them in a new tank or not
Hello. I have a female Koi Betta fish named Coral. I estimate she is about 8-9 months old. So far she is doing very good but for the past few days her color has faded and she has been near the top of the water and she has not been eating. I am not sure what is wrong with her but do you guys have suggestions for extra vitamins or different food. Thank you so much !
where do you buy show quality bettas
My female betta fish has two white/silver spots near her gills. The spots are not raised and look like they could even be scales but I’m not sure. Today I moved her to a new tank with a filter and she soon had lots of white spots around her mouth and chest.
My betta fish is lying at the bottom of her quarantine tank. Her fins are clamped. She eats and moves but it not very lively. I just got her. She doesn't have stress stripes. Her quarantine is heated and I don't have a filter up and running yet. I was going to add her to a sorority with some other females that were in the cup next to hers in the pet store.
How long does it take a female betta to reach full size? I've had mine for four months, and she's maybe a little less than half the size of full grown bettas I see in stores. I got her when she was a baby, but I don't know exactly how old. Is her size normal?
