Goldfish are a great starter fish to recommend for ponds and aquariums. The Red Fantail Goldfish has a bright red or orange body with bright white coloration around the fins. They have a large, forked caudal tail that is round like a fan. Like most goldfish, the Red Fantail will get quite large and will need a large aquarium or pond when fully grown. They are considered diggers, so use caution when adding plants because they can get uprooted. Red Fantails are very hardy and will eat almost any pellet or flake that you offer, but be sure the food has vegetable foods in it. Freshwater food with vegetables will help prevent swim bladder problems.

ACCLIMATION: Avoid exposing new aquatic life to bright lights after opening the box. Turn off aquarium lights prior to floating aquatic life. Allow the sealed bag with your new fish to float in your aquarium for at least 15 minutes (but no longer than one hour) to ensure the water in the bag matches the temperature in your aquarium. A bacteria booster addition can assist with the addition of new aquatic life. Petco offers free water testing in store to determine if your water is safe for the addition of new aquatic life. DIET: A well-balanced diet consists of a variety of flakes, pellets, freeze-dried and frozen foods, depending on the species. FEEDING: Feed sparingly and no more than fish can eat in 1-2 minutes. Overfeeding can quickly foul the water, especially in smaller aquariums.

My goldfish appears bloated
My goldfish has red spots/rashes on his body and fins. What could this mean?
Hi. My back moor goldfish is currently about six years old and I have grown quite attached to him. I have had him along with some other fish for half my life. But sadly he has developed a large slit on the lower half of his tail. He is not a fan tail. He has a common goldfish tail. It looks quite painful and my accounting has a similar problem. Is there anything I can do. I will be devastated if my beautiful babies die. SOS!! PLS HELP
My goldfish's tail is damaged. The fin looks bitten off as there are exposed spines where the tail fin should be. There is also a red color that looks to be blood on the base of the tail, as well as the side of the dorsal fin close to the tail. It is also wiggling it's tail frantically when swimming.
My goldfish has a blood spot in between its eyes , what does that mean, is it a disease?

What can be kept with goldfish?
My gold fish is orange and it has multiple tiny white balls growing on two different parts of my fish. What can it be? How will this effect the other fish? Is it contagious?
Is this tank big enough/small enough to hold goldfish fry (these fish will not be in it we are just cleaning up there other tank)
My fish fantail goldfish Mort has become very lethargic. He usually comes up to the top for his food but recently he has just been lying on the bottom of the tank. He still eats but seems tired. I've had him about 8 years now.
My goldfish has redness around their top fin, is holding their top fin, and has had a crooked tail for a week. What should I do?
