Red-eared sliders are very active and love to swim. While they are mostly aquatic, these diurnal turtles also enjoy a dry, warm place where they can climb out and bask under a heat light. Turtles are social animals and can be kept together as long as you provide enough space in their habitat.

What is an Red ear slider natural habitat. Trying to build a natural tank for one
I have a baby red eared slider a friend bought from Chinatown then couldn’t keep. I believe it’s about 1-2 months old as it wasn’t even old enough to eat when I recieved it. I have him set up in a filtered tank with a dry rock area and some caves in the water that he likes to sit on. He’s developed a couple small white spots on his shell and I’m worried that it’s some kind of infection but I also don’t know if he’s maybe starting to shed his shell.
I have red ear slider turtle it’s lossing some of its shells and lost of appetite. It only want dry worms n shrimp. What’s wrong?
Do red-eared sliders pee from their mouths??
My red eared sliders shell is discolored has hard/rough spots, and it’s not smooth. I don’t know if it’s she’ll rot or not. She also seems to be shedding excessively on her body, but never her shell.
Hey there, Can u just tell me if anything is wrong with my turtle. My friend too have one red eared slider but his turtle seems really active than mine. I think his turtle is a bit older than mine.
my male red ear slider has been trying to bite my female red ear slider, What should I do?
Hello my name is Cheyenne! I have owned my Yellow Bellied slider since it was a hatchling, so a little over six years. It is 8 1/2-9 inches long. So he/she is a pretty big! So I have a couples of questions that I hope you can help answer... 1. It needs a bigger tank, it is in I think a 20-30 gl right now which is to small. I have been looking for a normal glass one but can’t find any that are in my price range and can’t seem to find any used for the size I am looking for. I have been looking in
My baby red eared slider turtle is not eating from months and now he is having soft shell........ And their is not any good vet. Where I live............ So what do I do??
I have a red eared slider. My neighbor gave him to me a couple weeks ago but I do not know where he received the turtle from. The turtle has these things on his shell. I’ve done research and learned that it could just be growth marks, meaning he is being over fed or just shedding. But I also say that it could be fungus, and infection, or shell rot. The area is not soft or peeling. It does not smell nor hurts the turtle when I touch it. The turtle is fine others, receiving the best possible care.
