The Red Chili Oscar Cichlid is a spicy variant of Oscars that will look very bright in your aquarium. Unlike some cichlids, it is difficult to determine if your Oscar is male or female. They can grow to the length of one foot, so be sure to add them to a large enough aquarium of at least 70 gallons. Also use caution if adding to a planted tank because Oscars are known to dig plants up. If a planted tank is the desired environment of the hobbyist, try recommending potted plants or using rocks to anchor the plants down. Oscar Cichlids are aggressive so use caution when choosing tank mates because anything that can fit in their mouth may become a meal. Provide a mixed diet of meaty foods for continued health.

ACCLIMATION: Avoid exposing new aquatic life to bright lights after opening the box. Turn off aquarium lights prior to floating aquatic life. Allow the sealed bag with your new fish to float in your aquarium for at least 15 minutes (but no longer than one hour) to ensure the water in the bag matches the temperature in your aquarium. A bacteria booster addition can assist with the addition of new aquatic life. Petco offers free water testing in store to determine if your water is safe for the addition of new aquatic life. DIET: A well-balanced diet consists of a variety of flakes, pellets, freeze-dried and frozen foods, depending on the species. FEEDING: Feed sparingly and no more than fish can eat in 1-2 minutes. Overfeeding can quickly foul the water, especially in smaller aquariums.

Can i keep arowana with oscars?
My pet pike cichlid is not eating and is always staying in one corner of the tank. It is in a 20 gallon with 2 convict cichlids, 2 firemouth cichlids, 1 Oscar, and two plecos. My ammonia is 0, nitrate 0 and ph is 6.5. Water is a little tinted because of the driftwood.
hello i am treating my 75 gallon tank for ick for the 9th day my temp is at 83 degrees i just notice one of my Oscar fish constantly opening and closing his mouth and hanging in a cave at the bottom not moving around the tank as usual is this a cause for concern? thanks also he ate one of my tetras this morning
Sir actually i have made a community tank in which i had red eye tetras, mollies, tiger barbs, gouramis, etc. But my younger brother has put some oscars and king kong red blood parrots in it. Will they be compatible together or do i need to separate them out?
My oscars fish is lying at the bottom of the tank and rarely eating anything What should i do
Can I add a regular oscar to my fan tail oscar.?
One of my parrot cichlid has developed black eye which I don't seem to understand as to what is it exactly. Eye is swollen and a bit out of its socket. Previously it was white but now changing to black color. Due to this fish is hiding continuously and other fishes are pinching it.
Hi my oscar fish is still recovering from popeye disease and lost one eye and is partially blind in the other, he is now showing signs of hole in head but im unsure if it is or if he has injured himself. I'll attach a picture, if it is hole and head what is ur recomeded treatment thanks.
