The Raccoon Butterfly is hardy and adapts well to life in an aquarium, which makes them an ideal tank addition. They can be kept in groups, including other butterflies, but will frequently pick on other fish, so add them last to aquariums with lots of fish. They won't do well with fish that are overly aggressive, but they will also nip and pick at fish that are very timid. Initially, these butterflies can be shy, so plenty of hiding places will help them acclimate. It is not recommended placing them in reef aquariums because they are very likely to consume a variety of coral polyps. They will benefit from multiple feedings a day of frozen meaty foods. Adding algae to their diet will give them things to graze on, mimicking their wild eating behavior. This butterfly will grow to be about 8" in size and will need ample swimming space. They are mostly yellow in color with a black and white mask. They are found in the Indo-Pacific inhabiting in shallow reefs, seaward reefs and lagoons.

ACCLIMATION: Avoid exposing new aquatic life to bright lights after opening the box. Turn off aquarium lights prior to floating aquatic life. Allow the sealed bag with your new fish to float in your aquarium for at least 15 minutes (but no longer than one hour) to ensure the water in the bag matches the temperature in your aquarium. A bacteria booster addition can assist with the addition of new aquatic life. Petco offers free water testing in store to determine if your water is safe for the addition of new aquatic life. DIET: A well-balanced diet consists of a variety of flakes, pellets, freeze-dried and frozen foods, depending on the species. FEEDING: Feed sparingly and no more than fish can eat in 1-2 minutes. Overfeeding can quickly foul the water, especially in smaller aquariums.

Is it safe to give a 3lb raccoon the Spectra 5 vaccination?
I have been feeding wild raccoons for a long time. They are a lot of fun to watch and interact with. Recently, one of my raccoon buddies showed up with an odd affliction. His head is tilted (rotated) about 60 degrees sideways, to the left, (looking straight at him). He does not seem to have an ear problem, as he never scratches it. His neurological functions seem to be fine, as there are no motor skill deficits. He walks fine. Eats and drinks well, too. What could be the problem?
Ricco has 2 white spots on the inside of each ear flap
