Questions
what are the dimensions of the mats
How thick are these pads? Also, my dog wets sometimes in the night. Are these water proof where the urine won’t soak into the pad?
- I don't know the thickness in inches but I'd compare it to a cushioned floor mat that you use to stand on while doing dishes. It is water resistant but it has a slight texture that makes cleaning up vomit a bit of a chore, no biggie you just need some elbow grease and it's all good. I have rinsed this mat off in the tub and also outside with a hose. My only gripe is my dog has put some holes (into but not through it) with her nails. She does this weird nesting/scratching thing to settle herself in her crate with her blankets. If you're dog is a chewer then beware. So far, this mat has held up well and really works to quiet the sound of pitter pattering nails on the crate's floor. 4 out of 5 stars and I'd recommend this to other dog owners. Hope this helps! Also, my senior dog is around 80lbs and I think this mat gives her some support when she chills in her crate. If it wasn't for the slight texture of the mat, it would be perfect. Good luck.

I have the 42” Midwest life stages. Do I use this mat with or without the tray?
- I recommend using it with the tray. Your dog may pull up the mat and expose the wires underneath if you end up removing the tray. The tray also provides stability.

Does anyone have the exact measurements of the different sizes?
- The size of the mats are MAT24 - 16.75 x 23; MAT30 - 18.5 x 29; MAT36 - 22 x 35.25; MAT42 - 27.75 x 41.25; MAT48 - 29.5 x 47.

The Vari Kennels have a moat around the rectangle-shaped platform. I ordered a 40" kennel. The measurement for the X-Large mat is longer than the dimensions of the kennel. What do you advise?
- Hi san diego gal The Vari Kennel has dimensions of 40x27x30. Our 42"Length SKU 2694384 is the closest in dimension at 41.13" x27 x 38". Since the dimensions are a little larger and the mat is square vs. the irregular shape of the kennel, it would need to be trimmed to fit. The 36"Length SKU 2694350 is 35.75" x 21.75" and would likely be smaller. Thanks,

I've moved and to get my cat acclimated I've decided I'm going to crate him while we are working. The crate i have is 42"x28"x30", with a dual level. Will this be enough space for my cat? He is 14y/o, and will be crated for 6-8 hours 5 days a week for a few weeks, until he gets used to the area. Of course he'll be inside the house, and let out in the evenings and sometimes for a bit on lunchtime.

Need help crate training. Will sleep fine at night, and in car. Will sometimes whines in the crate alone (say 2 out of 10 times ). I want to crate train my 1 year old dog. I bought a "medium" crate for her , shes 25 lbs - aussie/dashund mix so shes kind of long shaped. So my dog keeps peeing in her kennel. I have started making more frequent potty breaks and that has helped some. But she still has accidents about twice a week. So I have thought about getting her a smaller kennel. She is in a 42’’ wire kennel. She can lay in a ball in the corner of it and not take up much room. She is too tall for a smaller kennel. What should I do? Also she had had all her bloodwork done and nothing is wrong. She is 30’’ tall and 30’’ long.
I need your help here. I've been thinking to purchase a crate and a crate bed and crate cover for my little girl. Since she loves to nap under the table and I thought it'll be much safer and comfortable for her to sleep there from time to time. And safer from the friend's and families children from hurting her. Hi! My 8 week old puppy is brand-new: 3 days with us! We are crate training him and he is taking to it really well but he’s peeing his crate at night - he never does during the day. He does not whine at night & he has a divider since his crate is sized to grow. We clean thoroughly whenever he pees. We’ve tried adding a 2:30 am walk (bedtime is 1230-630)- should I also take out the soft bedding? I read that could help but I feel bad for him on the crate floor! :(

I have a dog house with carpet over front entrance and a heated pet pad I bought from a hardware store. It seems warm and the 8 month old beagle goes in it but how cold is to cold for a four hour length outside while I work? He seems happy and the pad feels warm when I test it.
