Saved us a vet visit

My 18 month old dog ate a new bone, and ate new canned food, this caused terrible diarrhea. My dog was miserable and she was going every few hours. I called the vet and they said to wait 5-7 days and take her in if she doesn’t get better (she was still eating and drinking water). After doing research I came across this product at Petco. When I saw it at the store I asked an associate what it is, she said it’s a daily powder and I grab it at the register. This powder really helped my dogs diarrhea go back to regular stools within a few days. I cannot recommend this enough.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Great to use to prevent diarrhea in streasful situations, help their gut if they are on antibiotics, or simply to help clear up loose stool.

My 10 year old greyhound started having reduced appetite and occasional diarrhea. These have both improved since starting him on FortiFlora.

Questions

1 - 3 of 3 Questions

Can I give this to my 5 month Great Dane that has loose stool?

  1. I would imagine you could. Our Vet had recommended it when our Labrador Retriever was a puppy. It's a good probiotic but I would recommend contacting your vet. It could be a diet issue or something that would need to be tested to rule out worms.

Should you only use fortiflora when your dog is having a stomach issue or should this be used every day?

  1. I started with using it only when they were having stomach issues. Now I put it on every other day. They seem to like the taste and they always have good poops. I like the powder formula much better than the pills. The pills caused one of my pups to vomit after eating.

Does this help with gland smell? My 12-year-old lab mix is still a bit smelly even 'tho I just had her glands expressed ...

  1. We recommend contacting one of our Veterinary Product Advisors for assistance via telephone 1-866-884-8387, or alternatively please reach out to us via our website https://www.purina.ca/contact-us.- Purina Canada
