My Dog was prescribed this product for loose stool after trying to transition from human grade food to Purina pro plan sensitive stomach....My dog (frenchie) had a severe allergic reaction after having the 1st dose...swollen face, mouth, throat and labored breathing. He yelped in pain if I tried to touch him. Benadryl reversed the reaction. Later, I read the ingredients list and the only ingrediant that looked suspect was the "animal digest". My dog is allergic to chicken so if this digest contains chicken or Poultry (in general) it MAY have been the cause.

If you have GSD’s, you know that most of them have tummy issues now and then. I’ve found that giving them FortiFlora helps to keep their digestive tract working well without having a lot of problems. My one GSD was having a lot of problems and it was suggested to try giving her these tablets by my veterinarian. These have been a life saver, literally. My older GSD is going to be 14 years old and these have certainly helped her. She also rarely will take any type pills no matter how you try to hide them or crush them up, but she just loves the taste of these. Thank goodness!

My dog was really gassy, so bad and so often that it was clearing the room. I had already moved her to a food for sensitive stomachs but it didn't seem to help. Since giving these probiotics to her, it has improved SO much. She still has occasional gas but it's far less frequent and far less pungent.

Our dog has been taking this for about 6 months after having had recurrent UTIs. (she was born with an ectopic ureter, surgery has helped). She has not had in infection since starting these. Unfortunately, just found out that my repeat delivery has been paused since the product is out of stock. Any ideas when this will get solved? Thanks! from Lucy the Border Collie

Under vet care, this was prescribed for our dog. Mana had a negative reaction to an antibiotic he had to take for a bacteria infection. Fortiflora promoted a healthy gut, and dog's diarrhea stopped. We are really thankful vet recommended this product.

My 8 month old Golden retriever/lab mix had constant diarrhea. After he finished his treatment and prescription diet, his diarrhea returned immediately. We found out he was allergic to chicken, his digestive issues got better once we switched him to Purina pro plan salmon. He would randomly get diarrhea and would start scooting, he’s on a monthly dewormer, so we knew it wasn’t worms. After reading all the reviews, I decided to give FortiFlora a try and OMG! My boy is finally doing better, his stools are nice and healthy. He’s been using it everyday for 3m now.

How long do the chewable tablets maintain potency without refrigeration? Human probiotics seem to always require refrigeration.

Take with a grain of salt as I am not a veterinarian or expert, but I’ve had the same bottle for months and do not refigerate and the tablets seem to be as effective as ever.
