Is Purina Proplan wet food ok for my cat, he has stage 2 kidney disease and pancreatitis?
My cat is on royal cain so urinary tract food, he had crystals in his urine a couple of months ago. He is not eatting the wet food, but is eatting the dry, i like to give them both. Can i replace the wet with pro plan focus urinary tract heath? Theyhave 4 kinds of cat food, instead of one kind.
My cat was almost two he was diagnosed w/FLUTD and had crystals in his urine. He had a perineal urethrostomy after being diagnosed. He was originally on hills science c/d and s/d but that became very expensive. He has been one Purina One urinary tract health dry food for about 1.5 years and has had no urinating issues. I want him to lose weight (18lbs) & don't know if his wet food should be urinary or weight loss focused and what his dry food should focus on since I'm doing a mixed diet.
What is the best wet cat food for urinary crystals in an adult male cat? We are currently using the urinary SO but it’s very expensive.
looking for a urinary tract wet cat food for my very picky 8 year old. will not eat any classic or pate. currently eating purina one urinary tract in gravy. he has the dry food and wont eat it even if I mix them together. does not like the licks either.
Hello! My cat has urinary tract infections from time to time and problems and my vet reccomeneded feeding him wet and dry Hill's Science Diet Urinary to help him. Unfortunetly, I have been purchasing this very expensive food for him but it does not help and has been making him lose weight. My question is, What would be the best reasonably priced urinary cat food that I can feed him that will help his tract issues and keep him at a healthy weight?
I need a canned cat food that has protein and fiber for my constipation prone cat, any suggestions. She eats royal canin dry food now (fiber response)
Is purina pro plan kidney function advanced care canned diet as good a prescription kidney diet as royal Canin and hills canned kidney diets? Purina seems to be the one my cat prefers most. Thanks!
My vet has prescribed to may cat Royal canin SO (as he had Urinary disease). However, I read its ingredients, it contains lots of grain and carbs, meat quality and content are also very dubious (probably 4D meats). Are there any alternatives against urinary disease, but grain-free, low carbs and good meat?
I have a cat that is 16 or 17 with urinary issues. For about 3 weeks he’s been on RX Blue Buffalo WU. He didn’t like the canned food of that brand so only on dry. I’m still trying to find a wet food he will actually eat & not just lick the water from. He still has issues & I’ve noticed muscle spasms in the penile area. I don’t know if we need to try another food. Any suggestions that isn’t costly prescription food & is not full of carbs or other junk that he doesn’t need? Looking for help thanks
I have a 3 yo male cat who presented with almost complete blockage due to crystals. My vet said that over the counter urinary tract health dry food is okay. My question is: What is the difference between Purina Pro Plan FOCUS and Purina ONE Special Care versions of the Urinary Tract Health foods? How do I know which one is the better option? What ingredients should I look for and look to avoid? Why is there ash (6%) in the dry food when my vet advised me to look for low ash (<2.5%) wet food?
My 8 y/o male cat had his first bout of cystitis a few weeks ago, my vets only solution was to give Rx food (Hills, Royal Canin or ProPlan) these all have fish products in them (even non fish flavors) and my cat is allergic. They have no other suggestions and said he will have another issue if he's not on that food. I've read about Wysong Uretic wet food, Wysong Biotic ph- supplement, Cystease, Tinkle Tonic, etc - would anything else work as an alternative? PLEASE HELP!
