Great food - my dog loves it. I would give it 5 stars but my only complaint is that the kibble is too large and hard. It's not an ideal size or shape for my 6lb dog. I have to cut the food in half with a pill cutter.

Check your dog's appetite before ordering quantity

I tried 2 cans from the Vet and my yellow lab liked it, so i ordered 3 cases which would have lasted a month. (36 cans) When the order came she ate from 2 cans and will not eat it anymore. I waited one week and I tried it again, and she refuses to eat it. We have returned to the dry food which she eats sparingly. My mistake was ordering too much. I would suggest to try it and order a case at the time.

So unhappy with the shrinking size of bag and increasing cost of this food. This was the most affordable life saver option for our old fella with kidney disease. Definitely disappointed with the change. The food itself seems to work for him okay but definitely doesn't keep weight on like other kidney diets.

My pet would not eat it. My pet has been on KD but since a formula change that had become challenging so thought I would try the NF. Not sure where to go from here.

We're sorry to hear that your dog is not enjoying Pro Plan Veterinary Diets NF Kidney Function Canine Formula, and we appreciate you sharing this with us. Sometimes, when there is a change to their food, dogs may be reluctant to eat some or all of the new product. Please understand that dogs are attracted to their food by the way it tastes, smells, and feels in their mouths, which might explain why your dog is not eating the new food. We recommend that consumers introduce a new food over a period of 7–10 days to help avoid refusal-to-eat situations. Health and safety are our number one priorities, and we'd like to learn more about your dog and preferences in order to further assist you. Please give us a call at (800) 879-1266. We're available Monday through Saturday at 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST and Friday, 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. CST, and we look forward to speaking with you. - The Pro Plan Team
