Our 1 1/2 year old female ragdoll feline started loosing patches of fur for last 2 weeks. No scabs/raw spots on skin. Vetinarian concludes not fleas or ringworm. No known environmental changes or new house products. Now starting Royal Canin Hydrolyzed Protein Adult HP for 2-3 weeks in case it's food allergies. It's $50 for 7.7 lbs. What does a hypoallergenic diet contain for a 4 year old male cat?
Hello. My cat has been pulling his hair off for a long time. He is a house cat, so he does not go outside and hasn't caught any external parasite. Due to this issue, we have changed his diet to Purina's PRO PLAN® VETERINARY DIETS HA HYPOALLERGENIC Feline. He has been eating it for 2 weeks but it does not seem to be working. After months of IBD and diarrhea, we switched jack to Royal Canin KO formula. All poop issues 100% resolved, but then the vomiting started. Always bile. Omeprazole and Pepcid have been unsuccessful. Since it started when we started the KO, I assume it’s related but I’m nervous to switch lest poop problems come back. Looking for novel protein, with grain, with no peas/potatoes/chickpeas/lentils.
