We recommend that you keep your dog in ideal body condition and not allow your dog to become overweight. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have used Purina products, faithfully, for many years. Though we originally wanted to be on puppy food for a full two years, we attempted to transition one of our dogs from puppy pro plan chicken and rice, to a weight management chicken and rice - per our vet's advice. I was surprised to find, even with a gradual transition, my girl would not eat the bowl of food once we hit 100% of this new food. She would cry at her bowl and attempt to knock it over/push it away/bury it. We have decided to transition back to the puppy food for now We will feed her a lesser amount of the puppy food morning and night to help keep her weight appropriate. We will try again with another formula of Pro Plan adult in a few months. Otherwise, we love Purina! Our girl just did not agree with this blend!
