Can anyone please tell me if the 16 inch size will work for my Russell terrier mix? She has a twelve inch neck and weighs around 12-14 pounds.

can this product go underneath our dogs harnesses? Also, how well do they fits on pugs?
- Thank you for your inquiry. Harness' will not fit over this product. However, An opening on the back allows the leash to be fed through when using a harness, so you can absolutely use a harness with this, it will just have to go under the Cooling Coat.

Will it fit my 6 lb Maltese? Is the lining 'smooth' or mesh like?
- Both the inside and outside of the coat are mesh. I have a large dog (standard poodle), and the coat size I chose is generous on her. The back of the coat makes a "V" for her tail. The bib strap slides freely through the bib making it very adjustable. However, if your little boy is only 10.5 inches ... he may swim in the coat, and the bib may interfere with his boy parts. This is a GREAT coat for making my dog cool. I was happy her hair coat is only 1/2 inch long so that I wouldn't have to worry about matting. When the coat is wet, it is pretty heavy, so smooth or mesh, matting could be a problem. I spent the winter combing mats out of her coat when her hair was longer (with the cold weather, she wore jackets), but it was worth it for our joyful walks. Frequent baths and frequent combing helped.

Has anyone ordered this jacket for a miniature Dachshund and if so, what size did they order.
- Based on my experience, I would take the measurements carefully and just compare them with the guidelines. If they are more than 2" too big, it will probably be too loose on your pooch. Otherwise I found the guidelines very helpful. My boxer is 12-1/2" off the ground. See my review and picture that I just posted, if that helps any. The neck adjustment is an elastic cord with a spring-loaded toggle, like on human jackets at the waist and hoods, so it's really an infinite adjustment. If you pull the neck tighter, it should pull the whole coat forward. So if you can get close to the neck, back length and chest adjustment, you should be OK. Good luck!
