The time release Proin ER seems to have done the trick for our old dog who was suffering from leakage as she sleeps.

Our first RX was from the vet and from day 2 Belle had relief from her chronic incontinence. This has been a miracle drug and significantly improved our dog’s quality of life. Thankfully Petco offers a much lower cost as this will be a life time maintenance med for our 12 year old Mountain Cur family pet.

Yes, I recommend this product.

My vet prescribed this medication for our dog, placing the order was a breeze and it was shipped quickly and delivered on time. I will definitely order my pet prescriptions here. This medication works great for our older dog.

Yes, I recommend this product.

From my experience I would have to say that Petco is not a good place to get a first time prescription when time is of the essence. I ordered it on 1/4 and as of today 1/11 they were still trying to reach my emergency vet by fax and were having no luck. They would not accept an email pdf of the Rx from me on 1/4, it had to come to them either in the mail or via fax from the vet. Of course, mail would have taken at least a week (by their own admission) and who has fax these days? So now my dog has gone a week without the prescribed medicine she needed. So the question I am being asked in this review is if I am satisfied with the product, it isn't even here yet so I can't speak to the product, only to the service. So my recommendation is to get your prescriptions filled elsewhere, as I am being forced to do now.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Is this chewable? I want to get away from the Proin that dogs would want to eat.

  1. The label says "do not chew or crush."  The "ER" in the name stands for extended release, so that makes sense.
