My 14y/o fur baby has confirmed CHF. She's on lasix and prednisolone; however, lately is having a harder time breathing than usual and wheezes and coughs alot. My vet has already said current weather conditions make her worse etc. So my question is just until I can get her seen again, would Mucinex DM or an extra dose of steroid help her breath easier?

My 10 1/2yr old Presa Canario was at my vet for 8 days, being treated for pneumonia (IV antibiotics). He sent her home with a prescription for Augmentin (10 days). It's the 8 day since being home on antibotics, and she's going down hll, coughing more & labored breathing. My vet has not been n (yesterday & today), and cannot see my dog until tomorrow late afternoon. I have a nebulizer & albuterol solution. Can I expose her to it, to help her breath easier?

Hello, my dog has IMHA and is on prednisone and imuran. She seems to be having fairly rapid, shallow breathing this evening. She has also seemed sort of “buggy eyed” off and on. I know panting is a side effect of prednisone but I am unsure on the rapid breathing. I’m just curious how I can tell when it’s a normal side effect and when she may need more immediate attention. We have a vet appt for her tomorrow afternoon. Is there anything I can check for myself to see if she needs care sooner.
Today Pixie was diagnosed with feline asthma and was given a 20mg shot of depro steroid. That was this morning. Since then her respiration rate has been elevated. It’s usually between 25-30 breaths per minute, but now it’s up more like 35 or so. Should I be concerned? Is this common with the steroid shot? I’m worried she might be having a bad reaction. Vet has me giving my dog artificial tears solution polyvinyl alcohol 1.4%. It looks like the brand has discontinued it or has a shortage. What should I look for when deciding on a new artificial tear? I can’t find one with the polyvinyl alcohol. (Also taking tacrolite)
My 11lb Pom (6 years) has just been diagnosed via x-ray, with a collapsed trachea. I understand this is a progressive disease that needs management now. We will be aiming to get her down to 9.5/10lbs, getting a air purifier, we’ve got the harness. I will also be giving her glucosamine for dogs to help (is this crazy). She’s on Temaril P now. 1 pill every 12 hours for 4 days. Then half a pill every 24 hours till gone. Can someone tell me please about the management with these pills going forth. I
Wanted to know if it is safe to give Vega bayer aspirin from sprain shoulder. She is also on furosemide 20mg, and prednisone 10 mg both once a day for her breathing due to heart worms, which she is NEGATIVE for heart worms. Wanted to make sure Bayer was ok. She is about 70 pounds
