I am going to visit family for a week and I have to take my bird with me. I saw online that it helps to get him used to the cage for awhile before trying to travel with him. I didn't know I should do that until now. It's only an hour away but I want him to be safe. Should I try to get him in a travel cage (which will be a challenge bc I don't think he would trust me enough to pick him up other than by perching) or use his regular cage? Any other ideas? I know to not have loose toys in the cage.
Hi there, I am coming up soon on a long distance move, and am bringing my bird Scout with me. I have already purchased a travel carrier and am planning on keeping her with me for most of the trip. I have read a few tips online on how to keep her safe and cozy, but I was hoping that I could get a few more tips on how to make sure she stays relaxed and happy. She does tend to enjoy looking around and seeing the outside, but I was hoping to get expert advice on how to do this successfully. Thanks!
What is some bird cage recommendation for 2 parakeet at the lowest price available, or if by any chance a free unwanted bird cage at nyc., Thank you
How can I travel with my guinea pigs.
Will my ShiChon who is 15 long and 11 high fit in a airline soft sided carrier that is 17x11x11? Will she be comfortable as well? I’ve attached a picture of her in it. She climbed in herself.
I'm going to a car trip with my bird. The trip will have between 4 or 5 hours. I bought a transport box to her and put some things to she get a bit confortable with the place. There is something that i could put to she get more familiar or will need a sedative to her? ( I will put a perch in the floor of the box, the box it's wet because i put she in the box to test her tolerance and she did this mess. Unfortunately the trip is tomorrow, so i didn't can give a properly box to she
Can I take a shower with a Amazon Parrot? What temperature range water is safe? Do I need to give them a cuttle cone? What to chew one? How often do I have to take them for beak/wing/nail trim? What size cage? It would probably be out a lot because I am home most every day. Only gone on Fridays. I want a bird that can do almost everything with me and not too small. About a medium bird? Any recommend birds? I’ve never had a bird but I know a few people that have birds. Right food? (See pic) thx!
I have a 22 year old Timneh African Grey parrot. I have used Harrison's pellets medium size in the past. It has been discontinued. My parrot won't eat the fine size and drops the large size into water. I need suggestions of what else to use.
I am looking to get a bigger cage for my 2 year old conure. Currently I’m in the market to buy one online that is advertised as a “solid metal cage” coated with “non-toxic hammertone paint” which included stainless steel dishes. I was just wondering if this would actually be a safe cage for a green cheek. The seller is YaheeTech, which is based in Ontario California but customer pictures show a box with "Made in China." Mostly 5 stars, with lowest rating be 3 stars. Is non-toxic hammertone safe?
I am going on vacation for a few month need to take my African Gray no airlines so far want to accept him. So how can I ship/ fly him. Can not leave him Any ideas please share. Thank you
I'm looking to get this cage. The chart says it's good for two guinea pigs, which I have. In the comments a lot of people say their two guinea pigs were happy. But I just wanted to be sure. I'm thinking about getting this cage and then getting another later on to attach to it and expand it. What do you think? I'm stuck with a large rabbit cage and I know I need to get them something better so that's why I'm looking at this one.
