Prevue Pet Products Premium Cat Home with 4 Levels is a safe haven for your cats to play and rest. An extra-large home designed for housing several cats or kittens, exceptional engineering makes our cat cage easy to assemble and provides a paw friendly design - no gaps or pinch points! Lightweight, rust-resistant construction is heavy duty with rails, clips and alignment tabs to keep cage parts aligned, strong and sturdy. A single piece uni-base provides a strong and stable foundation for the entire cat home while metal and hard rubber casters allow you to easily move the cage. Pet parents can comfortably access the cage interior through any one of the three large front doors; each door opening. Cage doors open easily and securely with our simple two-finger locking mechanism. Perfect for foster kitties
I bought this on clearance and absolutely love it. It's a perfect place to keep my foster kittens from 5 weeks old to adoption at 12 weeks. It's easy to clean except litter gets trapped between the pan and the edges. I use a small shop vac to clean it though and it works well. I currently have 5 kittens in here and they have plenty of room. I love how there is a large door on each level. Thay really helps with cleaning and catching kitties.

I have had to take in some stray kittens and cats....I must say hands down this...This cat House is the BEST EVER!!!!..very well made...cranky to put together..but well worth it..I have 3, 10 month old cats in it with lots of room..lots of room, I set a small cat stratcher tree with bed...this is a must for cat owners

Excellent service from Petco and cages = 5 rating!
Best cat cage ever! This is my 2nd one, I have 10 cats and they love these cages also. The cage is very easy to assemble with 3 large doors. Love it! I even was able to place large play pens into the cages with plenty of room to spare. I am considering purchasing at least one and maybe even 2 more. I mostly use to separate my boys from my girls while I am at work, the ones that misbehave anyway.

Looks pretty awesome, larger than expected.
I didn't expect it to be taller than me but it is pretty awesome and I was surprised at how quickly it arrived. I've been pretty happy with it and my cats are adjusting well to sleeping in there at night.

Can anyone provide dimensions of the box it came in? I’m wondering if I can take this on a plane as checked baggage.
- The dimensions of the crate are as follows: Length: 43.25 IN. Height: 63.75 IN. Width: 24.25 IN. Depth: 43.25 IN So the box it comes in will be just under 4’ long, just over 2’ wide, and probably at least 8” deep. And it is heavy.

Would this work for 3 chinchilla?
- No, they’re too small and could probably squeeze through the bars. You need something with wire mesh if you want to contain them.

Can I buy two more hard shelves, and will the doors close if I replace the hammocks with shelves? My cats are afraid of the hammocks so far. I need to keep them in my garage while I’m showing my house to sell.
What are the dimensions on the door openings? And, is this easily disassembled, can it be stored flat/collapsible?
- The dimensions of the door openings are 18”x18”. It is easily disassembled, because it pretty much just snaps together, but it doesn’t collapse or store flat (because the side “corners” are curved). However, I REALLY love it because it is bigger than the traditional ones. I even bought extra shelves so that I can have double shelves for food dishes. I have 3 of these “homes”, two which I bought from someone else. I ended up keeping all 3 set up in my family room all of the time. Two get used to give certain cats special food, and all 3 have litter boxes in them.

How does one keep,a mostly feral cat, whom we want to rehome, from leaving the cage while we feed her? She was an out-door cat who slept in my mother's garage but since my mother died, I want to bring her to our home which is 350 miles away.
- Well when you get her or him home. Make sure you put her or him in room by there self. For a day or two. Because there not to sure, where they are. If you put there food and water in the same room. Don't forget to to put there litter boxes in the room. You can also sit the room with them. So they no safe for them to come out. This is how I did my kitten. When I brought him to Illinois from Florida. He did awesome. Don't forget not feed him or her after 5pm. That way they won't pee or poo in there Kennel. Good luck and have a lovely George2012

What type of litter box fits in the bottom? Is there then room for water and food?
- We have an extra large litter box, plus water and dry food! Plenty of space! We have 4 4-month kittens in the condo!

Can this be used for birds?
Once this is put together, is it able to be taken back apart? I’m curious if it’s easily storable for when it’s not needed.
- Probably as it was super easy to put together! Just a bunch of snapping in place parts. I would imagine taking apart would be just as easy if needed.
