DO NOT BUY THIS FOR A MACAW! I PURCHASED THIS CAGE 2 YEARS AGO AND MY BIRD HAS DESTROYED THE CAGE. IT IS NOR DURABLE FOR BIG BIRD BREEDS! THE CAGE IS NOT WROUGHT IRON!!!

Bought this cage a month ago and our adopted Macaw has been in there for two weeks. He absolutely loves it. It is sturdy because he bites those bars and shakes them down. Easy to clean and pretty easy to assemble. We got a great sale price so it was totally worth it! I would buy another one if I get another Macaw. It is incediably large! Our blue and gold was a free bird. The cage she came in was grossly undersized. So we upgraded and WOW! Well built~easy to put togesther and room for more than one Macaw! She can easily spread her wings in it and room for toy and play galore! I would highly reccommend it if you love your big bird!

Very easy to put together. I bought two. My wife and myself are handicap and I was able to put both of them together in two hours.

Upon opening my package I noticed that some of the welds were very poorly intact and some of them broke, there's no point of spending this much money in a cage like this one a bird can just pop a weld and get out of his cage!!! I might as well have bought a paper bag and saved hundreds of dollars!!!

Panels don't align...NOT made in the USA. Bird loves it but don't know how long it will last.

I am so happy that I ordered this cage . It is very roomy for my Green Wing Macaw to play with his toys and sleep and be able to spread his wings without them toughing the cage . I love everything about the cage and its very easy to clean . I would definitely recommend this cage to anyone that is looking for a huge , well built cage .

My blue and gold macaw has been sleeping/playing in/on this cage for about 5 years now. The cage is sturdy, decently built and fairly attractive. A few things that she destroyed within the first year are the locking mechanism that closes/locks the front door to the cage and the little brackets that hold the left and right curved roof panels together (There are a total of 8 tiny brackets). Thankfully, neither have been a huge issue because the scalloped roof of the cage is still holding up without the tiny brackets, and I use a chain with a latching hook at the bottom of the front door to keep it locked when I need to make sure she doesn't get out when I'm not home. She can easily open the food doors from the inside of the cage. When she figured that out, it became a game. So a quick fix was to put a spring loaded hook/latch from any hardware store on the outside of each food door. The cage is spacious for a B&G macaw. It has plenty of space to hang her toys at the top and also have her perches in the upper half of the cage. The food bowls are a good size for her head and beak at slightly over 3 inches deep and slightly under 4.5 inches wide. I would recommend this cage primarily for its size and overall build quality.
