Great purchase!
Bought this cage a month ago and our adopted Macaw has been in there for two weeks. He absolutely loves it. It is sturdy because he bites those bars and shakes them down. Easy to clean and pretty easy to assemble. We got a great sale price so it was totally worth it! I would buy another one if I get another Macaw.

This is the Mother of all Macaw Cages!
It is incediably large! Our blue and gold was a free bird. The cage she came in was grossly undersized. So we upgraded and WOW! Well built~easy to put togesther and room for more than one Macaw! She can easily spread her wings in it and room for toy and play galore! I would highly reccommend it if you love your big bird!

Cheap welds and came broke
Upon opening my package I noticed that some of the welds were very poorly intact and some of them broke, there's no point of spending this much money in a cage like this one a bird can just pop a weld and get out of his cage!!! I might as well have bought a paper bag and saved hundreds of dollars!!!

This Cage is Huge !!!
I am so happy that I ordered this cage . It is very roomy for my Green Wing Macaw to play with his toys and sleep and be able to spread his wings without them toughing the cage . I love everything about the cage and its very easy to clean . I would definitely recommend this cage to anyone that is looking for a huge , well built cage .

My Senegal is on the large size and has spent the last twenty-four years in a California Cage with one inch bar spacing with no problem. Would this cage be an appropriate new home for him?
- I'm not to sure about the bar spacing for a smaller bird. I also have a Senegal when she flies on to it, it doesn't look like it would be to difficult for her to fit through the bars. The cage is huge, I bought it for a Green Wing. Hope that helps.

- Yes, The bigger the better. You can never go to small

What size birds can use this cage?
- Thank you for your question. The minimum cage size for a Macaw is 30-inches deep by 48-inches wide by 60 inches high. This would fit the specifications a Macaw. In regards to a Conure, the suggested bar spacing is up to 7/8" for a larger Conure. This cage would not be suitable for Conures and you would require a cage with smaller bar spacing.

What are the millimeters of the bars, are they strong enough for a large cockatoo? Also what is the brand name of this cage.

Would this cage be suitable for Chinchillas?
- Thank you for your question. The Silverado Dometop Bird Cage is not good for a Chinchilla. Chinchillas should be housed in cages that have a bar spacing of 1/2" or smaller.
