Mixed feelings
Pros : I like that the cage prevents food from spelling over . I like how I could slide in the food and water through small cage windows . And 3rd thing I like is that I could pick up the cage with handle on top . Con’s : I don’t like how thin and cheap feeling the walls of the cage are . The perch is cheap and thin also . For my cockatiel she needed thicker perch , so I just put in the ones I already had from previous cage . One of my wooden perches was to heavy , started making the cage warp with its weight . So I couldn’t add perch . So at the moment she only has a branch which I had to tie in with wires and a rope perch . I think for the price the cage definitely needed improvements . Bad quality , the cage cost too much for the cheap quality . For the cost , It should be better quality .

Great product!
I have two parakeets in one cage and there is more than enough room. I could get another in there confortably. I like the large front door because I can get in and clean without taking out the birds. The seed catcher is most important to me because I can use my little vacuum quickly and get it top notch clean! I definitely recommend this cage!

Worth the money
The cage was easy to put together. Well made and is easy to keep clean. It is nice for a medium to small bird. We have a Conure and she it loves her new home. The only problem for our bird was the perch was to small in diameter but easy to fix with a wood one. Also bought items 25172 and 818400 which worked well.

Too narrow
I have yet to find a properly sized flight cage, preferably horizontal extra width as well as some height, in any retail purchase source or website. Small birds, with small bar width, is needed in MUCH LARGER sizes so that a small bird can get proper exercise.

Wonderful Parakeet cage!
I have purchased several cages in an attempt to give my 3 parakeets the optimum cage and this particular cage hits the mark right on. There is plenty of room for them to stretch their wings and enough room for a nesting box. The cage was so simple to construct. The rim of the cage catches the seed very well. I've had the cage for several weeks and so far NO MESS! I would sure suggest you buy this cage if you are looking for a home run.

Would this be a good cage for 2 zebra finches?

Is there room to leave swings and toys attached with playtop
- Thank you for your question. The 24" of this cage does not have the Playtop Opening. For the 27" cage (item#22397): The Roof Panel: 17 ½”L x 17 ¾”W x 3 1/8”H The Playtop Doors: 11 ¾”L x 6 ¾”W The Playtop Opening: 13 1/8”L x 11 ¼”W Roof Panel Playtop Surrounding Area: 3 1/8” Left/Right and 4 5/8 Front/Back (Dimensions provided based on facing Front of Cage) If the space provided would be enough would be dependent upon the size of your pet and the swings you use.

Access and extra cups
- Thank you for your question. The doors swing open to the side. We do not offer cage cups specifically intended for this cage but we do offer different sizes of cage cups that would work in this cage. And powder coating is defined as: cover (an object) with a polyester or epoxy powder, which is then heated to fuse into a protective layer. This is a more secure bonding than painting.

The overall dimensions include the plastic tray at the bottom so you know how much space the cage will need. The 27" model comes with a playtop. Will the Quik Lock Birdbath fit through a door on the 24" cage?
- Thank you for your question. The door opening is 11-1/4"W X 11-1/2"H, so if the birdbath is smaller than that, there shouldn't be a problem. I don't know the dimensions of the birdbath you are wishing to use to give you a definitive answer.

Can I purchase more perches for the "Clean Bird" cage?
- You might try the bendable rope perches because they can conform easily to almost any cage. My birds love them and we have several in different sizes and the birds use them to go all directions!
