I accidentally took 2 of my dogs 20mg Prednisone pills is this bad
Can I get prednisone for my dog without taking him to the vet
CBC showed low red blood cell count & VERY low white blood count. Vet prescribed 5mg Prednisone every 12 hrs 2nd CBC, 1 wk later showed normal red & high white blood counts. Continued Prednisone at 3/4 tablet every 12 hrs for 3 weeks. This sounds excessive to me, what do you think. Can damage occur with continued use of Prednisone? No diarrhea, No vomitting, No fever, Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Jan
Gave my dog who weighs between 8 and 10 lbs 2.5 mg of prednisone, the prescription is old and I can't see if it says to give her 2.5 twice daily for inflamed joint pain and arthritis pain. I did give her a regular dose this morning and it helped but I can tell she is in pain again tonight, don't know if I should give it to her every 12 hours or every 24 hours. The vet we use to go to is no longer there and no other vet will tell me. I don't have the money for a vet visit Help !!
My dog is on prescribed prednisone for a skin issue,she completed the 7 days of 1 20mg pill twice a day,now she is on 1/2 pill twice a day but thats all the label says,ive called and called the vet and no reply. My dog is prescribed cephalexin 500 my (2) and prednisolone 20 mg (1). 2c a day once every 12 hrs.he just got his last dose at 7pm. He seems very sleepy and sedated I've had him on this for 5 days now no issues but today seems extra sleepy
You My 9yr old German Shepherd was just diagnosed with advanced lymphoma... the vet prescribed prednisone (20mg). She weighs 71lbs, and the instructions say to give her 3.5 pills a day . That’s 70mg. I tried calling the vet to confirm this was correct , but I’m not getting through. Does 70mg seem right?
I think I may have switched up my dogs medication from night time to day time and didn’t think of it. Which means he might have gotten his pills in 12 hours instead of 24 hours! He is taking prednisone 20 mg, cefpodoxime 200 mg, and ketoconazole 100 mg. Should I be worried?

My dog has Blastomycosis. We have been treating her for a little over 2 weeks now. The vet put her on itraconazole 185mg caps (x30) 1 by mouth daily, and just last week put her on prednisone tablets 20mg 2 times a day for 7 days then 1 time a day for 7 days, then 1 every other day till gone. But it seems since we have passed the 7 day mark and dropped dose down to 1 a day now.
