Been looking for a new crate but found this cover to fit existing crate. Fits excellently on crate. Has features we were looking for. Cannot comment on durability, etc. since is brand new.

Fits 48" Midwest Life Stages double door crate. Be sure to order the 6000 model. Item not as thick and not as insulated as I desire, but it is the best and thickest option I could find for the crate I own. It is used to transport my 80+ pound dog in the back of my truck on long trips during all northern U.S. seasons. 4 star rating due to it not being designed to allow the side door on the crate to open - it would save truck bed space and keep the crate closer to the cab. The cover has a snug fit (good for winter), and plenty of shade and ventilation when utilized (good for summer) however. So far I like it. Durability to be determined over the years.

I got this because my dog is anxious, and it had been suggested to make his "den" smaller and reduce his visual field. So I measured and ordered. I use my laptop's webcam to watch my dogs and make sure they're not destroying the house. 1 hour into having this on his crate he had already managed to pull this "form fitting" crate cover THROUGH the crate grate and tear the bejeezus out of it. So much for that. If your dog is even remotely an anxious chewer, forget about it.
