This is a dangerous toy. My cat ate part of the spider's body and had to have emergency surgery to remove. I wish I had gone online to read reviews before I purchased. My guy is not the first this has happened to. Sickens me that Playology has to know their toy is defective and dangerous to our beloved cats and does not pull it from market. Shame on you. The fun your cat will have with it for a while is not worth a $10k trip to kitty hospital.

Wish the string wasn’t so fragile my kitten ripped it 5 mins after purchasing this toy. She loved it but the little plastic string ripped so quickly so now it’s just a spider and there goes $12 😭

I bought this toy and my cat loves it. Only problem is he will play with it if I leave the room and one time when he did the plastic string wrapped around his neck several times and started to choke. Thank goodness heard him and got it off. I’m afraid what would have happened if I wasn’t home. I think the string needs to be made out of something less elastic and dangerous or you may not have a cat anymore.

My kitties absolutely LOVED this. I wish the string wasn’t so fragile the girls played so hard it broke off. But definitely one of their favorites so far. When you drag it across the floor is moves very life like so they went nuts trying to catch it.

Please be aware or cat ate half this toy and we spent 6k trying to save her life. Do not buy this for you fur babies or any buy this brand

I purchased this item on a whim. I have 2 cats who will only play with feather and wand toys. However, lately they have been getting bored with the features or the fake snakes. I purchased this to try and see what would happen. Cat #1: Was a little freaked out by the toy at first. It didn't know what to do with it until it watched what cat #2 was doing. Now cat 1 will wack at it, and bite it to try to "kill" the prey. Cat #1 also prefers to have a spider in the air to wack at it and try to cat it with his paws Cat #2: Immediately understood the assignment, try to paw at it and snatch it to bite into it. This cat also doesn't have teeth, so the material is soft on her jaw. She has been teaching cat #1 what to do. Normally this cat is not in the mood to play as she is 13 years old. This is the one toy she will perk up and ply with.

Bought this on a whim looking for new toys for my cat, wasn’t sure he’d like it because all his other toys are soft fabric and this one will feel different in his mouth (he loves to carry his toys around) and it took him a day, but once he figured out how to hold it, he’s decided that he LOVES it! If I leave it lying around, he’ll drag it over to me and insist I play with him! This toy ALWAYS gets him up and running and once we’re done he flops over for a happy nap! It’s even super durable! My cat will catch it and start chewing on it and tugging at its legs and it hasn’t even started to break after a month of use! As a personal bonus, I love spiders and I think the spider itself is cute haha.
