The stainless steel fountain is OK.

It's OK but water would not flow with the filter in place. The stainless steel is nice and should be better than plastic but the capacity is very small and it does not have a reservoir which means evaporation. So far it is just OK.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Where can I get a replacement housing for the pump?(The triangular plastic thing) The suction cups on mine are gone.

What are the dimensions of this?

    1. 9 inches wide 11 inches long and 4 inches high.

How long is the power cord?

    1. About 70 inches

HOW LOUD OF A HUM NOISE DOES THE PUMP MAKE WHEN RUNNING? I bought Raindrop Stainless Steel Fountain new and the hum while running is quite noticeable. I even took the pump apart and cleaned it and it still had a noticeable hum sound.

    1. The pump will hum for various reasons: the fountain is not sitting level, the water level is too low, it is a little off center, cats have played in or pushed the fountain around and it is against another part and you will hear the hum. If it's loud, I have always found it's because the water level is too low. There is almost always a soft hum, but in the everyday sounds around it, I rarely ever notice it unless it gets loud enough that it tells me I forgot to add water. It's really no big deal.

The problem I'm having with this fountain is the pump is running, it's pushing water through and out the hole, but when I place the silver "waterfall" piece over the pump, the water does not come all the way up and out and run down the dish.

    1. You have to make sure the plastic spout from the filter is in the center of the hole on the silver cover. Also make sure you keep it clean remove the slime that gets on it everyday Make sure the filter is closed tightly before putting it into the top.

I currently have the Catit flower plastic fountain.   There’s no water visible unless it’s streaming.  In a power outage my babies are not able to get water if left alone.   Is the water exposed in this so cats can drink from it during power outages?

    1. I would show your babies. If(God forbid that ever happens) they, especially if extremely thirsty will remember or figure it out..knowing it's an option. NOW vs. Nothing if that makes sense I'm not wording it correctly. And you will have peace of mind

Is this certified food safe? I read that stainless steel pet bowls and fountains manufactured overseas can contain radiation , unless specifically certified as food safe

How many cups or ounces does this hold? I have 5 cats how often will I need to fill? Thanks

When should I be changing the water? every 4 days or ever week or every 2 weeks or every month?

Does anybody now how to prime the pump to get the air out of it? If the pump is full of air, it will run and you will hear it, but no water will flow. Apparently, many purchasers are having the same problem. Most think the pump is broke. It isn't.

          1. Hi Birds Of Fire, To prime the pump, partially fill the base so the pump is somewhat submerged, pour water into the outlet hole in the pump- it is located on the top of the pump until the pump is primed. Thanks,
