The Pink Kissing Gourami is very popular due to their unusual body shape and peaceful temperament. They are a Labyrinth Fish and must have access to the surface of the tank to breathe. This gourami uses this specialized organ to breath in poorly oxygenated waters in the wild. They have a thin, compressed body, long flowing fins and are characterized by two long thread-like pelvic fins. This species is known for their unique behavior of 'kissing.' Males will purse their lips towards one of another and the less dominate male will then typically back down. Gouramis are a great recommendation for beginner hobbyists due to their hardiness and ease in care. They prefer planted aquariums and other semi-aggressive tank mates. They are known jumpers so a tight fitted lid is necessary. The Pink Kissing Gourami is an omnivore that requires foods that are meat and algae based.

ACCLIMATION: Avoid exposing new aquatic life to bright lights after opening the box. Turn off aquarium lights prior to floating aquatic life. Allow the sealed bag with your new fish to float in your aquarium for at least 15 minutes (but no longer than one hour) to ensure the water in the bag matches the temperature in your aquarium. A bacteria booster addition can assist with the addition of new aquatic life. Petco offers free water testing in store to determine if your water is safe for the addition of new aquatic life. DIET: A well-balanced diet consists of a variety of flakes, pellets, freeze-dried and frozen foods, depending on the species. FEEDING: Feed sparingly and no more than fish can eat in 1-2 minutes. Overfeeding can quickly foul the water, especially in smaller aquariums.

My Powder Blue Dwarf Gourami, Is twiching and i really don't know what to do i think its ammonia.
I have one fish a dwarf gourami, one small aquatic frog, and two pelcos. My dwarf gourami is missing almost all of his upper lip it started out with a small cut and now most of it is gone, he has been eating fine and moving around fine and acts perfectly normal. Then I come home today and see a fairly big bump under his eye. I have no idea what’s happening to him there’s no other fish for him to fight so I’m not sure how he’s hurting himself and I’m scared now for him with that big bump.
My betta is a baby boy (4monthold) When I first got him he was red with white. 2 months ago his growing fins began becoming blue. Abt 3 weeks ago I see that he began losing his color a bit& began becoming kind of transparent, so I took the water to get checked& the water was good but the store couldnt check for ammonia cause they had ran out of that test(water has conditioner). Last night I notice that he started getting a shiny silver color on 1side of mouth& in gill. But he is acting normal
My two platys and a one guppys fin is getting clear and losing color
Two of our freshwater fish are acting oddly in the water. We did lose a few last night, due to an ammonia spike. We noticed some pale-colored, wormlike flesh dropping from the front area (between the mouth and front fins); this black Guppy is “wobbling” around... We also have an orange Molly fish that has been staying on the bottom, not eating or moving much. Attached are pics, for your review. Can you please provide advice for these issues, we want to try our best to save them!
I do not know if anybody knows much about betta fish but I think there is something wrong with my male betta. I bought him at a large petstore about 2ish years ago. He is kept in a heated, filtered, 2.5 gallon aquarium. Lately, he hasn't been eating much. He takes the food but then spits it out. I have now noticed his gills look "inflamed" and his stomach is bloated and kind of pale white. I will attach some pictures and someone please tell me what to do. I would be so sad if he passed. Thanks
Which category male flower fish add with couple of yellow blood parrot fish(male and female both are) in a (42L×7w×18h)inch water tank ? Can u guide to me this successful breeding process ? In a currently I have only two yellow parrot fish.
Hi, my name is Emma and I have a male half moon betta fish named pucker. I’ve had him for about three weeks now and just bought him a tank about a week ago. When I bought him from petsmart they ran out of betta food so they gave me this bug bites tropical fish and he ate it but didn’t like it. But I went back and bought him his food, which colour enhances. Today I went to go feed him and noticed his colour has changed, did it change in a good way? Also does he look healthy to you?
My new betta is coming up with silvery spots behind gill slits and underneath mouth. His water also seems to get clear algae growth rather quickly (3days) on the surface. I would love to be able to send pictures. My first betta
