To install, choose the area you would like to add. Place the new transmitter at least 2-4 feet above the ground in the center of your additional containment area and connect the transmitter to power. Adjust the dial to fit the space required and your system will sync with your pet's current collar. Plus, the transmitter is portable for vacations or other locations.

A gift for me and my dogs
I've had my wireless Pet Safe system for over 2 years. I have two very energetic Boston Terriers. It works great!

Not what I expected for the price.
I’ve been using Petsafe underground fence for so many that I can’t even remember. No issues except the occasional wire being cut.
Well when my transmitter went out I decided to try a different route because I was unable to find one near me.
So I bought the wireless transmitter and collar.
I’ve moved it to several locations and can only get about 50ft from the transmitter.
I was expecting more than that.
My poor dogs can barely leave from the back patio. Now I have them doing their business up close to the house.
So I’m not satisfied with this product and will have to try another route.

4 Good Years
We have been very pleased, but recently started having problems. Collars wouldn’t hold a charge so ordered 2 replacements. It seems that the transmitter isn’t working but cannot determine how to test.

Still love it 5+ years later. Did not think it would work for a beagle who are so distracted by rabbits and such. But he has never run past the perimeter.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Great Product
We bought this system when our Belgian Malinois was about 6 mos. old. We do have to keep her collar turned up to a higher correction, but this has been a life saver! She was constantly going to the neighbors and the highway and now we don't have to worry about it! Other than the battery dying! I wish they would improve the battery life or make them rechargeable!

Works Great
Works great. Walked thru with our German shorthair pointer one time and he had it down pretty good. He was around 6 months when we got it. No problems with it yet. We got a second transmitter to expand the barrier.

Do you have to install wifi for your wireless dog fence to work?
- Thank you for this question! The PetSafe Wireless Fence emits signal from the base transmitter in a circular shape. Wi-Fi is not necessary nor does it affect the function of the Wireless Containment System.

Can you order just the collar? I have the unit but somehow now all the parts to the collar

Will a wireless system work on uneven grounds? back yard is much higher then where transmitter would be placed.

If you have slopes in the area you want to contain your pet steeper than 3-4ft, we would recommend using an In-Ground Pet Fence instead like our Basic PIG00-14582. I have 1 transmitter. I haven't been able to use it because it only shows my dogs to barley get 30 ft out front. I have an earth contact . How many feet will another transmitter give? Just from a staight line

You can use multiple transmitters so long as there is at least thirty feet of overlap between the two containment systems to give your dog some extra room. - What a great question! The smallest boundary that can be set for this system is as small as a 10-foot radius.

Can one collar be used with multiple boxes in different locations
- Hi there, great question! You can absolutely use multiple transmitters with one collar. You will need to ensure that the transmitters are placed inside the residence, in a climate controlled area and positioned to overlap the signal fields.

With the Extra, it will add 1/2 acre to the 3/4 acre i already have with the stay and play? for a total of 1 1/4 acre, is that correct?
- Thank you for your question! Rather than acting as signal boosters that increase the range of a transmitter, additional transmitters can be set up in positions where their boundary circles overlap one another in a certain area. This allows the collar to pass between the two circular boundary areas without activating, via that overlap area, which increases the size of the overall boundary area. So while it does increase the overall boundary area, it may not get that full 1 1/4 acre coverage, but rather one 1/2 acre circle and one 3/4 acre circle overlapping one another.

What condition does the transmitter have to be in? Can I put it in my dry shed through winter even though it gets to freezing temps? What about heat/humidity?
