I'm worried about my dog Ike. He hates other dogs and is hard to train. I think some of the reason behind this is that when he was a puppy he got attacked by a dog and he got injured. We tried taking him to a place where he could train with other dogs but we got kicked out because he would bark at the dogs and get really stressed. He is a little over weight because he is a border collie and a aussie mix and he has tons of energy but we can't let him out. Is there any advice?
Last night I put the adaption collar on my new puppy to help him settle at night but he won't stop itching since putting it on as if he irritated and he actually cried more last night with it on, should I take it off?!
My 6 month chorkie was given the tick collar the whole day and night he sat in a corner on slept on sofa and winched he did not want to play as he usually does with my 4year old collie nor eat so I took it off him the following day back to normal
I recently adopted a 2 1/2 year old chihuahua. She was happy and smart AND didn’t bark. After Three months with us she is starting to bark at people when they come over. She has also started barking at people on the street during our walk. She was foster at a home with lots of little kids and large dogs. She is not very good with a NO command to stop barking but goo with NO for other things. Any suggestions or thoughts on how to stop this new habit? Thanks, Rainee
I have a pet.. its a dog lebrador.. age 2 years.. i usually left its with bitch for few days.. but now he is getting very aggressive.. even barks on me.. worried.. what can i do now
Have a spunky new rescue chihuahua mix and she is skittish. So much so she will resist any efforts to trim her nails. We have 4 dogs so I have trimmed nails hundreds of times--but with Ricki Ricardo, no luck. I sit on the floor and flip them over and cradle them between my legs. My wife distracts them with peanut butter on a spoon. Besides going to a groomer or vet, any ideas? I thought maybe a groomer table might help. Are there premium nail cutters of higher quality than store bought?
How would I know if my dog is tone deaf? Our current trainer said that’s a possibility but never gave us anymore information about it.
My 10 pound Chi-Terrier mix has gone hoarse from barking too much. Is there something I can give him to soothe this? He will be 9 on Aug 24, and I do not want to take him to have surgery. I was gone away for 4 days, and had someone come to the house to feed/potty him. He apparently barked at her all weekend long.
My dog is panting and shaking and doesn't want to move
Hi, I hav provided my Dog with a bath: 2 "Good Scrub's" Of Flea Shampoo, A Flea & Tick Drop Treatment & A Flea & Tick Repellent Collar, A "Worming Tablet", I hav seen One Tick AFTER Treatment & today (Onli th once) My Dog ran her Bum across th floor, Has not done it since, Ani advice ??
My dog Zeus has recently developed a fear over getting his claws clipped, I have tried restraining and also letting him come to me on his own but he is just to afraid. I have contacted the local veterinarian hospital and they want to charge over $200. I have some training in veterinary assistance and am fully capable of trimming his nails myself. Is there an at home medication I can give him to do this myself? He is about 85 pounds. I also already have trazadone if that is a suggestion.
I got a new female puppy. My 5 year old male dog is acting crazy and wants to mate with her. I can’t control him
