First one fell apart and battery unit was lost.
Second was hard to assemble, had to buy a special screw driver.
When it was working, it worked very well. No barking after first one so I am trying again.

This collar is a lifesaver!
My dog is a BARKER, and this collar is a lifesaver. I didn't know how bad her barking was until a neighbor in my apartment complex left a note on my door that she would bark the whole time I was not there, every time. This collar worked very quickly in addition to crate training. She will sometimes bark to see if the collar is still working whille I'm away, but she stops after a few minutes instead of going for hours. It is very sensitive to other sounds, so it will pick up on talking, so I only use it when nobody is home and no other controllable sounds are around.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Too sensitive
I just bought this yesterday. It went off just by clearing my throat and when the leash retracted. There is no way to adjust sensitivity. It is either off or on. I will be returning it to Pet Supermarket.

I bought this for a 7 month old Irish Setter that barks incessantly when left alone as in a fenced yard. There is no barking when she is with people. This collar did absolutely nothing. There is no indication in her behavior, such as a tilt of her head or a slight interruption of her behavior. There is no opportunity to try and reinforce behavior manually to mesh with the collars function as her barking ceases with someone’s presence. In short, I see NO benefit from the collar.

PetSafe products are always well made, fit well and work as expected. The bark collar is no exception. The battery compartment fastens securely. Indicator lights tell you that it’s working. The best thing, though, is the customer service. Great people at PetSmart help me provide the best life for my dogs.

Does this work when a dog is whining? My dog whines when ever I'm talking to someone else it is very distracting. I can't get him to go and play with his toys or distract him with anything else.
- Not at all! Only when barking. And my suggestion is only use when you want to correct it because my sweet girl almost went mute because she was too scared to bark. I felt terrible because I wanted only correction for barking on walks. When she’s home and someone knocks on door I don’t want her staying quite
