Great for vacations.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the third automatic pet feeder I have had and it's a pretty good one. It's pretty easy to set up- you choose what time it feeds your cats and how many cats to feed. At 6:00am, feed two cats, at 5:00, feed two cats. It's reliable and makes day to day feeding easy. It's also a life saver if you're going to be out overnight. Keeps the cats on a feeding schedule.

Perfect for what I need!
Love that it does not need to be online! With the settings and power source, it does what we need! My only concern is if there is a power outage while we are gone... We will have to wait and see!

Great auto feeder

Not worth it
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think the idea of this is great, but it wasn’t really necessary for my family. It took up too much space and took more time than just hand feeding my pets. It might be great if a family goes on vacation and leaves pets at home.

Easy to program with no app or wifi required. It just works. Construction is high quality. I’ve always been impressed with PetSafe products.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In theory, I thought this product would be a godsend to me. In all reality, though it is convenient and appears very durable, the accuracy of setting the customized times for feeding did not work for me. I tried to set alarms and food was dispersed on off times. Maybe that’s just me, but I think it’s worth mentioning.
I’ll also say for some weird reason, all 3 of my extremely food motivated dogs refused to eat out of this feeder. I don’t know what that means, if anything?

How does it keep food fresh? Does it have a desiccant packet?
- I don't think so. The container is sealed fairly tight. I have the small size and use it on battery. I have 3 servings per day scheduled for feral cats so it only lasts about 4 days before needing refilled

Is this feeder good at not releasing extra food? I have a cat who tries to knock into the feeder or use his paws to get extra food.
- My smart and and always snacky cat has tried to extract more food from the device, but is never successful. The only breech has been ants with the feeder.

I'm curious how well the lid will stay on. I want to sit outside for my cats. Will it withstand raccoons?
- Thank you for asking about this! Though the lid is sturdy and tamper resistant for cats and dogs, this feeder was not tested with raccoons and should only be used in fully indoor, climate controlled locations; we do apologize for any inconvenience this causes.
