Love this product.
My Chihuahua Dachshund mix disappeared for several hours. When we got him back the first thing we did was go down and buy one of us the PetSafe stay and play compact wireless fence. One zap later he had learned his lesson. But now we have a new problem. He came in contact with the skunk. His collar is saturated and we can't put it back on him I went to where we made the purchase but they don't have just the collar nor does petsmart. He loves to run but now he's stuck inside the fence. But thank you for such a great product. I highly recommend it.

Works great - no real trining needed - cooper has a invisible fence and home so this was a travel fence that works the same so he understood easily

The instructions say an hour to set up... more like 5 minutes. Very intuitive, effective, simple. Collars are light and easily adjustable. We have considerable elevation changes and tree growth on our property, and these factors were no issue whatsoever. I got 2 to extend the area and it was an excellent choice for our household/ situation.

A relief to not be worried about broken wires!
Easy and relatively quick to set up. Especially compared to In Ground systems—no digging and no “breaks” in the future! Adjusting the ‘circle’ to a rectangular lot took extra time.

Collar
I bought this.1 month ago to the day.. In the past week I notice collar would stretch out around the neck. He still had collar on but it would get loose. Dog got loose tonight and collar was not on him any longer. It was great until this past week. For this amount of money there should be a better collar
No, I do not recommend this product.

Works great. Until it doesn’t.
We bought this fence a few months ago, for our hard to train escaping puppy.
It worked great for the first couple of months and now the collar is malfunctioning and is beeping and zapping my dog while he is laying on my doorstep in his safe perimiter.
Aside from that, it’s a great fence. But for the price point the collar shouldn’t be malfunctioning 6 months after purchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to install, range is good, easy to use. My only issue is, the collar does not fit small dogs like shown. We had to safety pin the collar. I would suggest the maker include a couple of different sizes of collars.

Is the boundary able to be custom fitted for a yard. How do you set the boundaries? I'm worried that the dog will be able to go in our close neighbors yard.
- This is a great question! Wireless system boundaries cannot be custom shapes but will always be circular. The size of the circle can be adjusted, but the shape cannot be altered. If a circular boundary would not be a good fit for the shape of your yard relative to your neighbor's yard, a wired/in-ground fence may be a better fit. What is the difference between the Original and the Stay and Play Compact also will the collar work for a 40lbs dog
- Thanks for asking about this! Stay + Play® Compact is the current name for the system that was previously just called our Stay + Play fence; there are no differences between the two. The collar this system comes with is recommended for dogs 8 lbs. and up, with no upper weight limit, so it could absolutely be a good fit for a 40 lb. dog. In case this information is helpful, weight recommendations are related to the weight of the receiver box on your dog's neck, and not related to the correction on the collar, which is safe for dogs of all sizes. Response to the correction on the collar will be based entirely on your dog's individual personality.

How well does the portable feature work? If I bring this to a friends house and set it up in their yard, will it work there as well as my own yard at home?
- Thank you for asking about this! You can certainly take your system with you to your friend's house and use it in their yard. Though you can set the boundary to the same distance, a variety of features would affect how it specifically operates in their yard- the different shape of their yard and where the transmitter is placed inside their differently shaped home, if there are any significant slopes in the yard, if they have metal siding or a metal roof, etc. With this being said, it's very likely you would be able to use your system at your friend's house with a similar boundary distance.

Is the collar charger included?
- Yes, the charger comes with the collar. It's connection is custom to the receiver, so you cannot substitute a charger cord you may have for other devices.

Does the unit need to be plugged in? Will it work inside an all metal building?
- The unit always needs to be plugged in. Not sure whether metal affects it's functionality. The issue is that it's not a fixed zone so the "circle" can change shape or move in/out causing issues with training your dog.

Can the collar stay on 24/7? I have farm dogs that stay out and guard livestock.
- I leave the collar on all 24/7. Battery lasts about 10 days so I start checking around 9 days and charge when it gets low. We have a dog door and I live on a corner lot in a lake community so my dog is always running out after golf carts and mini bikes.

I have a metal roof on my home, but I’d still like to try the system out for my Boykin spaniel, who has just started roaming a bit. If I notice any interference with the transmitter due to my roofing, can I return the system and receive a full refund?

I have this product and it worked for a while. The product still works, but my 115 lb. Golden Pyrenees now ignores it and goes right to the fence. It is set on the strongest setting and it has a new battery. It is working, just not on my dog. Ideas?

My 120lb pit jumps on our vinyl fence in an attempt to get to a cat in the neighbors tree, and knocks the slats out/ breaks them. Would this be suitable to get him to stop?
- As long as you set the parameter smaller than the fence it will work . It will give them a warning sound before they continue to the edge and the vibration.
