Also works for cats on counters!
While this was advertised mostly to keep dogs off a large sofa, we found it also worked well to keep a cat off the counter. You do need to buy a 9V battery for it (not included), but set up was literally just 2 snaps to the mat and unrolling it. We did test in ourselves before using with a pet so we could insure the shock wasn’t too strong. Super impressed with the size. You also don’t need to unroll it all for it to be effective.

My cat stays off the coffee bar now
Keanu kept jumping on our coffee bar, no matter what we tried. The ScatMat worked like a charm—one try and she decided the bar wasn’t worth the little jolt from mat. Now she keeps from climbing the coffee bar and it stays fur-free and cat-free!

Good training tool
I got this product as a promo, and I have had friends who really enjoyed this product to keep their dogs away from places they don’t want them. I plan to use it if I need to for training new pups when they come to they house.

A must have to help with inappropriate behaviors!
This mat is a wonderful way to prevent your pets from either walking into a space or eliminating in a place where you don’t want them to. In my case, my cat was peeing on a piece of furniture. No more! This mat has settings to persuade, without hurting the pet, to not do what you don’t want them to do. There are 3 levels of static corrections, low med and high, or a tone to remind the pet that they are to stay away. It is battery operated so it can go anywhere. The length is approx 6 feet long and 12 inches wide. Great for furniture or counter tops or entrances to rooms. Spotted by Petco let me try this product for free!

Just Okay
I received this product for free for submitting an honest review. I cannot believe this is $60. Overpriced. At first my dogs (I have 4) were afraid of it. But after awhile they didn't care. It didn’t bother them at all. It also is hard to turn off this bell buzzing sound it constantly makes.

Shock mat!!!!
I did not like this product. It needed 9 volt batteries which i never have and do i had to purchase those. Once i finally got the batteries and set it up, i accidentally touch the mat and it shocked me really bad. I was going to use this to train my cat not to get on the dining room table and kitchen counters but its too intense for that. If i had purchased this I'd be returning it.

Worked great!
I would highly recommend this product! I love the option to only beep, avoiding shock completely! I also appreciate the multiple shock levels, ease of use, wire free, easy to store and works great! I used this on my counter while i was at work and it kept my nosey cat off my kitchen counter. It was in there for a week and she now doesnt get up there at all, without the mat being there now! I will be using this the next time we go on a day trip and will be gone several hours to keep her off my counters then too!

Keeps cats off table
I received these products for free from the Spotted by Petco sampling program in exchange for my honest review. I love this mat. It was very easy to setup and use. You have the option of using just beeps or a zap. The zap can vary in intensity. I have a kitten that constantly jumps on the table. This mat has kept her off after just a few uses.
