Never have to run to a store!

Easy to keep supplies in stock. Never be with batteries. Price is much better than in retail stores. The radio fence is vital to my pets safety.

Disappointment continues

I have used the invisible fence from Petsafe for 6 years. I love the fact my dogs are safely contained in their yard while I don’t have to put a fence around my 2-1/2 acres. But when you changed to this new battery from the old collars with regular batteries the sense of security has not been the same. I know the batteries life is short. I will accept that and because my border collie is so smart and “checks” her boundaries often (even a dog knows the batteries aren’t any good and it’s just a matter of time before she’s free to cross that line): I understand they will need replacing more often. But give me a break. today I bought two packages, so four batteries. It’s a hour and a half round trip for me to go to the store. Got home and not one of the four batteries will work. So I’m going thru roughly 6 batteries every 6 months or less. This is not the first time the batteries were DOA. I’m looking at reviews and it’s over and over and over again with complaints on these things. I’m thinking it’s been over three years since they were put on the market. Why has this issue not been addressed. How long must the consumer deal with your response of oh we’re sorry please call us. Why has this issue not been corrected. How can you continue to sell such an obviously faulty critical part of your entire line of containment systems.. So although I love my fence I just have to make the choice to not give your product the responsibility that you advertise to keep my precious dogs safe and contained within your system. To do so is just asking to have them get out of their boundaries and be killed by predators or run over. That is a gamble I’m not willing to take with these batteries unreliability (and I guaranty they are faulty it is not an issue of not understanding their limits)

These are only lasting me about a week at this point… I’m not sure what has happened recently, but I’m on the third set of these for my dogs in the last month.

I bought the Petsafe wireless fence unit a little over 2 years ago when my dog was 7 mo. old. She was a runner, and I couldn't have her outside unless she was on a lead. This unit enabled me to set the parameters for the area I wanted her to stay in. Took a bit of time to set up but once it was set, I haven't had to adjust it. This was a lifesaver, as I live close to a busy highway. She now knows the area she needs to stay in, but I still put the collar on every time she goes out so she can run free. I personally have had no issues with battery life. I would highly recommend the wireless unit I bought to anyone. I am very happy with mine, and so is my fur baby!

I recently bought a two pack of RFA-68 batteries and the first one went below 4.4 volts in two days. The second one tested at 6.4 volts when I installed it. After just two day of sitting on the table. the battery showed a voltage of 4.2 volts. What gives?

  1. I'm sorry I've never monitored the volts of these batteries. I've used the Petsafe containment system for 15 years and never noticed any problems with the batteries. I just pop one in and the collar is good for at least a couple months.

does the RAF-67 battery show when the battery is low. ex.( does it blink)

  1. Thank you for this question. The PetSafe RFA-67 battery may be used in several different PetSafe products. Each product will vary in the way it notifies of a low battery. For more detailed assistance with your unit please feel free to reach out to us at 1-800-732-2677. We are always happy to help you and your pets.

Just bought new replacement  batteries  The  dogs collar  Was left past its  containment area for more than six hours  Now it’s not working even after I replaced the. Battery

  1. We're sorry to hear you are having some trouble with your collar. We understand how upsetting this can be. Since this battery may be used in several different containment collars we would like to gather some more details about your collar. For assistance please feel free to reach out to us at 1-800-732-2677. We look forward to hearing from you and your pet soon!

How can you check that batteries are good?

  1. Just rub the prongs back and forth across table or kitchen countertops. You will here the beep otherwise replace the battery.

I just replaced the pet smart battery RFA- 67. How do i know if it is working ? Should the light on my system in the garage be solid or blinking?

  1. I recommend that you call PetSafe Customer Care at: 1-800-732-2677. They can help you with your request. The office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. EST. We are also open on Saturdays from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. EST.

PetSafe RFA-67 6 Volt Replacement Batteries

  1. I would recommend a PetSafe Elite Little Dog Bark Control Collar, Petco SKU # 1414909

how long does the battery last? it seemed to be working when i first got it and now he's barking like he doesn't have it on

  1. The battary will not last as long during the training phase. One your dog is trained the battery should last for several months.

Is the Petsafe Wireless Instant Fence recommended for indoor use?

  1. It may not be recommended, but we leave our dogs collar on when he comes inside. With the way our house and the reciever are situated, he can't access the living room couch which keeps him off of it and the area clean. Win-win.

how long do the batteries last

  1. depending on how strong willed your animal is I would keep a couple of batteries on hand during the training phase. (a couple of weeks) with my dogs they ran through the battery that came with the system quickly, then the next battery about 6 weeks. Then then the next battery lasted 3 months. Recently it went 4 months. I think as the animal adjusts they stop challenging the boundary and the battery holds up much better.

How do I remove battery of of shock collar ?

  1. It should have come with a tool but if you don't have one we have used a coin.
